Course I dont think Lowell will reach those numbers, just the same with Arod's pace (75 Hrs, 195 RBIs). I stil think he might be able to reach 25 HRs, with outside shot of nearing 100 RBIs
This team is just cruising along. The offense has been great, the starting pitching lights out, the bullpen has been one of the best. One game at a time towards october
BJ Ryan is done for the season after having Tommy John surgery. Alex Cora is starting tonight at 2nd base
Tim Wakefield this season vs Toronto in 3 games, 2-1 record with a 1.80 ERA. At Rogers Centre in 2 games, is 2-0 with an 0.64 ERA
Roy Halladay this season vs Boston in 3 games, 1-1 record with a 5.37 ERA. At Rogers Centre in 4 games, 2-1 with a 3.18 ERA
700 cmon youre better than this. As I said snapshots cant be the way to look at who's the better player. You disregarded Pedroia after his major league debut, little by little he is making a statement that he belongs in the bigs with the Sox. Now Drew & Nixon, with Drew you have a younger players who has exceeded Trot's stats with ease. Hell he's the better bet to play more games in a season. Drew is known for a streaky hitter, but I dont exepct this guy to fall flat on his face. 1 year after he put up a .300, 20 HR, 100 RBI season
Yesss Sox win! 22-10
Starting pitching continues to be one of the best out there, Dice settled down real nice. His next start is at home against the Tigers
The offense obviously has been looking like a force to reckon with these last 2 games, belting 8 HRs. Pedroia's turning the corner
Hey another errorless game
Eh Pineiro, with that kind of lead he's the guy you throw out there
Game over, 1 out in the 10th inning Aubrey Huff took it to his former team by hitting a walkoff HR.
Aside from that, Tampa Bay has a great #2 pitcher this year in James Shields
Now here's a game where its all about the pitching. The O's and D-Rays are locked in a scoreless tie entering the bottom of the 10th inning!

How about these Brewers? At 24-10 they stand tall as the best team in baseball. The offense is one of the best, the rotation and bullpen have been lights out this season. It will have to take something big to not let this team make the playoffs
BTW, what is Ned Yost doing?? Francisco Cordero today got his mlb leading 15th save, the guy has now pitched for 6 straight days
Ok listen at time the Sox were still in first place around the all-star break (Sox had already Wells, Clement, Timlin doing stints on the DL)... these Sox missed time over the next 6 weeks-- Schilling, Wakefield, Papelbon, Ortiz, Manny, Trot, Wily Mo, Youkilis, Lowell, Alex Gonzalez, Mark Loretta. Varitek was the killer. The Yankees April injuries arent similar at all to the vast ammount of injuries that befell the Sox the middle of last year
Um source that Schilling has had back issues? I think your mixed up with Randy Johnson. Not paying attention, the Sox have been working with Beckett since he came aboard to fix his blister problem. Their medical staff found out its eczema. Gasp! Eczema is treatable. Last time I checked (to Yankee fans doubting) Beckett hurled career high 205 innings and made 33 starts
65-66 still 86-76 record. Still wagering that the Sox will finish in 3rd place with an 86-76 record?
