  1. Lester is in front of Hansack to take over as 5th starter
  2. Yess Sox win! 21-10 Beckett... what else can you say? 7-0, 2.51 ERA, 40 Ks in 46.2 innings. He couldve gone longer too but understand why Tito gave him the rest of the game off. The offense just really came together and gave the Sox a nice easy win. Recently its just been 3 run leads or less. Varitek is heating up and more. Dusty this kid is steadily turning into the palyer i have been tracking since he was first drafted Hey was this the first error less game in some time? Tito gets his 300th career win as a Red Sox
  3. Hansack also hadnt pitched since little over a week. Rust is expected
  4. Entering today, a 1.20 against lefties. Leaving him as the situational lefty is good for the Sox. Ahem is this your best bash on the Sox bullpen?
  5. like "Coco" said theres another thread for Daniel Bard, dont have to keep making threads. No s***? Players taken later in the draft can sometimes turn out better than 1st round pics? Gee thats never happened before Anyways I heard on espn radio from baseball america columnist that bard was pitching while being hurt. He has since been put on the DL, the Sox are looking into bringing him up as a reliever instead
  6. I have a feeling that this year when Beckett does lose a game, it will be like seeing papelbon blow a save
  7. That hit is questionable. The catcher's mitt was placed behind Youk's knee
  8. Jays batters continue to swing at the first pitches. Beckett inning over after 5 pitches. 48 through 4 innings EDIT: Our bottom of the order (Tek, Coco, Pedroia) is looking better every day that passes
  9. Lowell & Varitek back to back!! 4 HRs
  10. Haha just like last inning!! Mike Lowell with a 3 run bomb to left field, 7-1 Welcome back to the East, Zambrano
  11. lmao did they really say that? Psst Toronto announcers, its not the same pitcher as last year
  12. Ive never given up on the kid. As I said, some us are able to sustain good faith & patience
  13. 7 for his last 10, oh yea he is so gelling
  14. sox picking up from where they left off in minny, getting thrown out
  15. I dont think he will be as bad as he has been to start the season, but the days of vintage Mo are in the past.
  16. WTF, um Jacko you dont need a closer? Great way of trying to rid yourself of the bad memories this bullpen has given you. Yep that offense will be scoring 10 runs a game, starting pitchers will be hurling 7+ innings each, relievers will pick up scrap duty. October all the way, no closer is NEEDED there too
  17. 3 pitchers over 40. Wakefield with his knuickler, who knows how much longer he could go
  18. Murphy or Moss will be eventually dealt for relief help. Padres course have Linebrink on the trading block and are looking for outfield help. hmm, package him and another player and just maybe these 2 teams can pull something together Linebrink Okajima Papelbon Me like
  19. Phew, Yankees lose. 6 game lead, I know its early to be looking at standings but the Sox have to get as big a lead as they can before New York finds their summer magic
  20. Nick Carfado in today's globe had mentioned that with the way Carmona & Miller have been pitching, the Guardians' Paul Byrd could be a likely trade candidate. Not including the cancelled snow game when it was at 4.2 innings (no hitter going), he has compiled a 2.92 ERA and just 3 walks in 24.2 innings. He is owed $7 million this year, great addition to this staff The White Sox if they keep slipping could make pitchers such as Mark Buehrle (contract year) expendable
