Well of course the pitching
I just put down resilency, because now watching them it seems that every game you throw at them... dont even flinch, bounce back from anything
Same wavelength, I also made that poll on will Crisp stay
Crisp's best asset is his speed, and thats about it. He had a nice hot streak going on but that has quickly come and gone. Im still in full belief that looking ahead to the 2nd half we can be seeing the stud Ellsbury up flashing some leather in Fenway Park
BTW what has happened to his power? Coming into Boston he had 15 +/- HR power, even 20 HR potential. He hit 8 last year and right now is the last Sox regular without one
wow these tiger infielders are being loved, both miscues have been called hits
f*** thanks Coco, he's tailed off since his little hot streak. 2nd straight inning Sox arent able to capitalize
Fred cmon now, the Sox wont just release him without getting anything in return
He would easily pass through waivers? I just dont see that being possible. Lenny DiNardo was a hack for us and he was swooped up by the Oakland A's. Teams would be snatching at this 25 year old kid with raw power
per Boston.com
Its all wait and see but Theo has been meeting with Francona "possibly discussing candidates to start the game. Right now its looking like either long man Kyle Snyder or as mentioned repeatedly Devern Hansack
I... f***ing... love... this... team
2 times already have they come back from a 5-0 deficit. I'll agree I was one who was just dreading to see the end of yesterdays game. No more, even when the Sox are down by 6 or more I'll just sit back and see what they got. If I were asked "What word defines the 2007 Sox? I would answer with resiliency
Too funny I just had to post this. On my way home from work I listen to the WEEI "whiner line". This guy who hates Wily Mo with a passion wants in a trade right away. And I quote
A lot of Tigers bats (when not hitting homeruns) can be swing & miss guys. Hopefully Dice gets rid of his woes when pitching at home while piling up Ks as the Sox try to do some damage against Robertson
Sweet the Twins are putting the hurt on Detroit 8-3. The Tigers called up this kid named Virgil Vazquez to make a spot start. He only lasted 2.2 innings, putting stress on that bullpen as they head out to Boston after this game ends
I dont think he'll be able to start this Friday. Hansack is most likely the top candidate to take that start against the Braves. Lester is still throwing bullpen sesions as he tries to heal that fore arm strain
For now Im giving you the benefit of the doubt and calling this a joke thread. Im still scared of the Yankees going on their hot summer run. Look no further than the 1978 Sox I believe, who had a 12 game lead squandered by the Yankees
Steve Phillips of Baseball Tonight ripped Beckett's game today, saying he lacked control
4 innings, 2 Hits, 2 Runs, 2 Walks, 7 Ks
Eh I'll take those first 4 innings any day from my starter
You know what I love? The fans carried on at the game, it was packed thoughout
I just saw a replay of the Nationals walkoff grand slam last night... what happened because it was like 15 people in a rather large stadium
He's just taking a page from John Gibbons pulling Haladay too early
Very funny my friend was saying to me earlier today that there hasnt been a walkoff win yet
EDIT: I thought I just heard on NESN, Tom Caron saying something about the DL
Right when Beckett left I thought right away of the game where Clement was hit by a pitch. Just how the team rallied to get a W. Ive got adrenaline pumping through so much I keep making typos haha
Really hope Beckett is ok
