  1. Wake hurt himself by throwing back to back fastballs (Inge HR, Granderson base hit). Then Lowell didnt get a good read on Sheffield's liner Still just in the 3rd inning, more than enough time for this team to get going
  2. Hansen barely had any time in the minors before being called up, its not like the Sox would be rushing Bucholz up after being drafted. Maybe Im wrong but theyve steadily brought him up from 3 Single A stops to now Double A Portland where he's "getting by" with a sub 2 ERA. Hansen and Bucholz are 2 different beasts, one is a starter the other is a "closer in waiting" , different pitches, motion, etc. As Kilo said Jacko, I find it funny that youre going to these extremes to rile us because you cant rip good at our 1st place team. Maybe it helps you feel better that your Yankees "are doing things right with your prospects and the Sox arent". Garza was brought up from Single A not Double A EDIT: Hilarious also you act like a scout and say Bucholz is alright but I know his weaknesses so there is no guarantee for you that he will be good. Chamberlain, Betances will both have more success against him and any other sox pitcher, yadi yadi yada
  3. Today's lineup has Pedroia getting another day off
  4. http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view.bg?articleid=1001335 Good Boston Herald article on Dusty's defense. Didnt realize he's the 3rd best defensive 2nd baseman in the majors when it comes to zone rating (percentage of balls fielded in typical defensive zone). BTW only 2 that are better are Chase Utley and Mark Ellis
  5. Ehh Julian Tavarez the 5th starter the rest of the season?? That just doesnt sit well with me. He'll have his good starts sure, but more time than naught he will be in the shitter
  6. Sox are 20-0 when scoring 5 runs or more
  7. Went to redsox.com and it has the clip of Boston's 6 run 9th inning, it just isnt getting old for me at all. Don is goofy as f*** at times, but man he knows how to call a walkoff win
  8. Oh s*** didnt realize, big loss to the Braves if he's out for an extended ammount of time. Perhaps Tim Hudson gets moved up a day
  9. Dice's next start is a pitchers duel as ever, taking on John Smoltz and the Braves Something interesting about our offense. they have scored 29 runs onver the last 4 games, all that while not hitting any homeruns. Ill keep saying it, I f***ing love this team
  10. Complete Game!! Sox win, 26-11
  11. Oh Manny, dont try or anything
  12. Wow the Sox are out scoring 41-9 against the opposition in the 8th inning
  13. Ok no need for Paps now, send Dice out for the CG Lugo!! Damn he's rolling along
  14. Dice using his good infield behind him tonight, 15 groundball outs Im not talking career-wise fielding, that naturally goes to Mike Lowell. Just saying for this season
  15. Jacko, you act as if Okajima is not one to be trusted late in the game. BTW he has held righties to a .184 avg. He is not a lefty specialist
  16. Its a toss up. Leave Matsuzaka to give his team another inning, or send out Okaji who can purely make these Tigers bats swing & miss
  17. Pedroia's the top fielder this season for the Sox, hands down
  18. Maybe Lowell should slide into the 5th hole until drew breaks out of his very long slump?
  19. Ortiz will become more of a force as he continues to hit to the opposite field
  20. I heart Pedroia, his glove is something else
  21. Crisp is shaking his hand while standing at 1st base, wonder if hes ok
  22. Tek raising that average to .286
  23. I agree about Wily Mo, but Ellsbury should at least get a September callup
