  1. And Beckett has forgotten how to pitch in this inning
  2. Lugo grou.. ok this is getting old
  3. I agree, they sold quickly on Rent. Unfortunately for the Sox, I cant think of teams wanting Lugo this offseason.
  4. Renteria's defense aside, he still had a good offensive season. .276, 8 Hrs, 72 RBIs, 100 Runs. Shortstop in 2008 is looking like a question mark for the 4th offseason in a row
  5. And Lugo grounds out, deja vu
  6. Hey Lugo... Ortiz just saved your ass
  7. It took a great over the head ctach by Branyan to stop varitek from possibly having a 2 run double. Sox made Peavy throw 38 pitches, 72 through 3! And he is expected to bat this inning as well, its not looking like a good day for jake
  8. Papi showing off his speed! 3-0 against Peavy
  9. And Lugo makes me nervous as he decides which base to throw to, barely getting the runner out at 2nd
  10. So Im guessing it'll take until Lugo is hitting .150 that Tito will put aside his stubborness and platoon Cora with him?
  11. f***ing Lugo!! First he swings on a 3-0 pitch, which woulldve been ball 4. Now on a 3-2 pitch (ball 4 again) he reaches outside of the zone for a weak grounder
  12. Damn, I had no idea that Tek would try for 3rd. Nice hustle Wow, Tek now has 3 Triples on the year
  13. Um wow, he benches the hot Pedroia while putting Crisp and Cora to lead the offense against Peavy?? Coco's been hot as of late but he also had a hot stretch in early May so Im taking it with a grain of salt. But yet he leaves sub mendoza Lugo in the game, I guess it'll take time for him to start platooning Cora with Lugo From 8th to 2nd Peavy will face Lugo, Beckett, Crisp, Cora
  14. Under that plan, Lester would have to be moved so Bucholz could have an opening
  15. Youkilis is being given another day off due to a sore hamstring Beckett this season on the road in 6 games, 6-0 with a 1.71 ERA Peavy this season at home in 10 games, 5-2 with a 2.99 ERA
  16. Bowden and Lowrie I would def do. You would have a proven (playoff tested) 28 year old lefty. Getting Buehrle would also relieve the Sox that they wouldnt have to ante up to Curt's demands if they become desperate this offseason. A potential rotation down the road of Beckett, Dice-K, Buehrle, Bucholz, and Lester is very promising. Thats if the Sox would be able to extend his contract when he is traded
  17. I didnt even know that Phelps was put on waivers
  18. Wily Mo's numbers against Maddux are too good to keep on the bench. Im guessing Ortiz will receive the day off. This lineup naturally is just something I winged out there Matsuzaka this season on the road in 7 games, 4-3 with a 3.48 ERA Maddux this season at home in 6 games, 5-1 with a 2.75 ERA
  19. Who knows, maybe the Sox are in a way showcasing Murphy?
  20. http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view.bg?articleid=1007760 David Murphy will be called up for the San Diego series, He'll be sent down on Monday when they have decided who will be called up to start against seattle
  21. He's not like Jay Payton and screams at Tito in public because of his playing time. Hinske realizes he's on a team that has very good chances of playing in October. 1st Base, 3rd Base, Right field, Left field and you'll see him grab his glove. Left handed bat with some pop off the bench is also a valuable commodity coming off the bench
  22. Yesssss Sox win, 46-25, back to season high tying 21 games above .500. Sox are 5-1 in their last 6, and have won 8 out of their last 12. I havent seen as many Sox shutouts in a single season thus far in awhile it seems Julian Tavarez since the start of May has just been f***ing money. This is a guy you dont pull from his pot unless he just has a total breakdown a la Jason Johnson. Lets just keep riding the "Yo-Yo" train Drew and Crisp are really starting to break out, this is the Crisp I remember seeing play for Cleveland. Our lineup can only get better if he plays to that level Ortiz/Manny combo are set for cruise control, weather is warming up, watch out opposing pitchers Onto San Diego Matsuzaka vs Young Wakefield vs Maddux Beckett vs Peavy... anyone else salivating at just the thought of this matchup?
  23. That would be a roto typing error, frequent sometimes. Thanks for the heads up
