2005- He missed majority of the season, became the interim closer, back to starting September
2006- Maintained the role of ace but did miss a month worth of starts at the end of the year
2007- Out from June to early August. Luckily he was able to change himself into a different pitcher altogether, being a rock this 2nd half. Anyways I like a one year deal for Schilling, but Im sensing an NL team (which is where he will thrive the most) will offer him a 2/3 year $$ deal
And no I wouldnt have been on Pedroias case if he batted .285 this season. Thats actually what I was expecting him to hit. I was one of the few on this site having his back when he debuted and this past April with sub .200 averages, telling all the non believers to give the kid some patience. I snicker at the "trade Pedroia for Jorge Cantu!" remarks
