  1. And yet the powerhouse Yankees lineup could only muster 1 run on 3 hits in 9 innings against him :harhar:
  2. Fenway Park is Carmona's House of Haunted Horrors
  3. Haha 3 bases loaded walks for Manny in 2 games
  4. The only good thing going so far is that the pitch count for Carmona is rising
  5. Lugo tried bunting on 2-1 count? If he didnt it would have been 3-1 EDIT And he strikes out, cmon guys get this run in!
  6. Drew went from being the hottest hitter back to a cold fish, batting now in the .150s for the playoffs. Sorry McCarver you dense head, it was not a good AB he had grounding out to start the inning
  7. Have to jump on Carmona when he is rattled, Manny grounds into the double play to end the threat. Carmona at 21 pitches
  8. Carmona this season vs Boston in 1 game, 1-0 with an 0.00 ERA. On the road in 16 games, 9-4 with a 2.80 ERA Schilling this season vs Cleveland in 1 game, 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA. At home in 13 games, 4-3 with a 4.06 ERA
  9. I was just going by the growing consensus of Boston sports writers that Buchholz will start the year in Pawtucket. Hopefully that isnt the case and we could see a 5 man rotation of Beckett, Dice-K, Clay, Lester, Wakefield
  10. Yankees FO is dreading the free agent players (Arod, Rivera and Posada) leaving if Torre is fired. Ah another year of Jacko and his rants about what moves he does each game, old times will be here again
  11. Catcher- Jason Varitek Backup-- Rod Barajas (experince catching knuckleball, upgrade over both Mirabelli and Cash with the bat) 1st Base- Kevin Youkilis Backup-- Chris Carter 2nd Base- Dustin Pedroia Shortstop-- Julio Lugo Backup-- Alex Cora 3rd Base-- Mike Lowell (2 year wont do it, he'll be looking for at least 3 years. Hell he deserves it. What Im worried about is Arod opting out and signing with another team, Yankees come calling to Lowell with a blank check) Left Field- Manny Ramirez Center Field- Jacoby Ellsbury Right Field- J.D. Drew Backup-- Bobby Kielty (resign him to a 1 or 2 year deal. Gives the Sox a solid lefty hitting bat off the bench, good clubhouse guy.) Starting Rotation Josh Beckett Daisuke Matsuzaka Carlos Silva (Not much is talked about him hitting free agency. In the AL he has made himself into a reliable starter, and just 28 years old. I wouldnt mind a 3 year deal at $7-10 per. Buchholz will be in Pawtucket as solid insurance as they come) Jon Lester Tim Wakefield Bullpen Long Relief- Kyle Snyder *Lefty Specialist- Javier Lopez/Craig Breslow Middle Relief- Bryan Corey Craig Hansen/FA signing Set up- Manny Delcarmen Hideki Okajima Closer- Jonathan Papelbon
  12. There are select people I know at work and friends, plus Ive seen couple posters still yearning to see him as a starter Agreed, surprised it was Papelbon and not Putz (I had voted for Putz as well). Alas it was a public ballot so Im sure the hordes of "Red Sox Nation" made sure he got the award
  13. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/news/press_releases/press_release.jsp?ymd=20071011&content_id=2260830&vkey=pr_bos&fext=.jsp&c_id=bos http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/afp/20071011/capt.sge.irq43.111007172811.photo00.photo.default-353x512.jpg This is the 3rd season the DHL award has been around, both years prior had gone to Mariano Rivera. I know there are some who are trying to pencil in Papelbon in the 2008 rotation... but if you have something this good, why change it? In a couple of years he'll be on track to be the saves leader in Boston history, and well sky is the limit for this young stud
  14. Game Over Sizemore swings at ball 4. No Gagne in pressure situations thank you
  15. Bases loaded, boos commence... top of the order, s*** True, 7 run lead with 2 outs but cant ever take this Guardians offense for granted, plus Gagne's implosions as a Red Sox to consider. Hopefully this isnt another outing where Tito wants to keep him out there for as long as possible for confidence building
  16. Crisp lolly gagged his way to the ball, cant do that with Lofton
  17. Solid effort by this team in the playoffs thus far!
  18. **Jimenez this season on the road in 7 games, 1-1 with a 4.61 ERA **Davis this season vs Colorado in 4 games, 1-2 with a 2.86 ERA. **At home in 19 games, 9-3 with a 4.62 ERA

  20. Drew pinch hiting in a 7 run game in the 6th inning? Why not play Kielty for the rest of the game, and give Drew some extra rest
  21. Fox, I didnt ever think I could get tired of hearing "Dirty "Water"... you have proven me wrong
