  1. Look out Shawn Kemp! The Golden boy's catching up!
  2. Broncos signed Patrick Ramsey. For a team coming into the offseason with as little cap room as they had, the Broncos have been ridiculously active. Seems like they've signed, or had an interest in, everybody.
  3. That's a lot of guaranteed money to turn down for the chance to play for a perennial contender. I think Stallworth will be a Patriot.
  4. Yeah. I just learned that if Travis Henry has one more positive test he's gone for a year... :thumbdown Puts a damper on an otherwise great signing for my Broncos.
  5. Stallworth is another risky signing. Ain't he one strike away from a suspension or something like that?
  6. Good call. I could go either way on the signing. Cutler had been developing good chemistry with Scheffler, but Graham is the better player of the two anyway. I'd rather sign somebody like Kerney. edit: nevermind the last part, I wasn't aware that the Seahawks had already snagged Kerney.
  7. I'm not sure how much I'd like that if I was a Pats fan. A second round pick is a lot to give up for Welker, a WR that didn't even crack 700 yards last season (which was a career year) -- especially for a team that's historically been good when it comes to drafting players, and especially with a deep draft for WR's.
  8. Great pickup by the Jets. Without Thomas Jones the Bears don't sniff the Super Bowl, in my opinion. One of my favorite RB's in the League -- glad to see him off of one of my least favorite teams.
  9. Broncos have been busy. They signed Travis Henry today. Was very good when he was a Bill, and I never really understood why the Titans brought him in but had a good year (1200 yards, 4.5 per) last year. Could be a great addition to the Broncos, who wanted more of a feature back, anyway. They'll probably make one more signing, I'd imagine. Hopefully it's Patrick Kerney.
  10. I think he just doesn't want to go to Tampa. He wants to go to Houston and play with Kubiak. It's unfortunate if he does retire -- he never really got fair treatment. He never had a chance on those Arizona teams and he got labeled a loser -- then he came to Denver and had success, won lots of football games, and never got his credit. Then he struggled this past season and got blasted by everyone.
  11. Hard to say what's wrong with Denver. I think 'Melo and AI are getting some chemistry. If the supporting cast comes to play they're a very good team. When it's all 'Melo and AI they're terrible. Unfortunately, when you don't play defense, you're capable of giving up runs to let teams back in games, which they've done a lot of. I heard a stat that if games ended after three quarters, the Nuggets would be, like, 39-17. I think if they can string together some wins they'll get better and better. Terrible fourth quarter team.
  12. I don't have a dog in that fight. My problem is with NBA officiating in general. Dallas had a big lead late and in typical NBA fashion, the calls starting going towards Miami. Now, what does being a Denver fan have to do with anything? One call (PI in the playoffs) that went our way? The Pats have never gotten a call? Buuuuullshit.
  13. But they beat both San Antonio and Phoenix "when it mattered" in the playoffs last year. Don't get me started on the Finals last year. I think game 3 was a textbook example of NBA officiating at it's worst.
  14. Overreact much? They're third in points against this season -- I think that, generally, the entire rest of the season proves to be a little more indicative of things than one game.
  15. Yeah. Two statements combining two well-known facts -- they started 0-4, and they're taking a run at that Bulls teams record. Though that's something of a longshot.
  16. Up 10 in the second. This is an extremely good basketball team. Imagine if this team didn't start 0-4. They'd be giving the 72-10 Bulls a run for their money.
  17. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2784408 Denver Broncos will trade George Foster, Tatum Bell, and a 5th round pick to the Detroit Lions for two time Pro Bowl CB Dre Bly. Great trade since heading into the off-season, it looked like neither Tatum Bell nor George Foster would be Broncos next season... certainly not Foster. Also, Jamal Lewis and Brad Johnson were cut by the Ravens and Vikings respectively. I don't know anything about how it'd work cap-wise but since the Broncos are trying to get away from the running back by committee and just employ one dominate RB, if we could get Jamal Lewis in Denver, I'd be a happy man.
  18. In the past, they've fallen victim to the fact that they don't play defense. This year, they're the third best defensive team in the League, based on points against.
  19. http://www.nba.com/media/dleague/dj_250_070223.jpg Certainly not 370.
  20. Twenty-four year old Denver Broncos RB Damien Nash collapsed and died this evening. I don't have a link, it's on the bottom of ESPN news. It's not made any more tragic by the death of Darrent Williams earlier this year, but this is another blow to a Broncos organization that was already suffering from the death of another young player. But that all pales in comparison to how it affects his family. My thoughts and prayers go out to them. Not to speculate but it initially sounds like an undetected heart problem. Then again, I'm not even going to pretend to have any medical knowledge. Actually, here's a link... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2778713
  21. Corey Dillon will ask the Patriots to be released so he can walk away from the game. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2776090
  22. Very sad. 52 is entirely too young to die. Heaven just got one hell of a point guard. RIP, DJ.
  23. What is this? 1957?
  24. I can't honestly say that Carmelo Anthony has ever been high sticked...
