  1. That call on Iverson is easily the worst call I've seen in this postseason. Duncan jumped over his back, flipped over because he went over the back, and the call went against AI. Absolutely terrible.
  2. Some bad officiating in Denver. They're allowing a lot of contact in the Nuggets attempts to guard Tim Duncan -- it's at least consistent, though. No worse than game two where Iverson got beat up and never once saw the line, I suppose. Nuggets are playing a very good game, though -- I don't like Melo shooting threes as often as he has but they've been falling, so I can't complain too much. On another note, Melo's game is so much better now than it has been in seasons past. Also, if you're watching the game... how random is it that the Nuggets fans boo Manu every time he touches the ball? I think it's hilarious because he's never done anything but torch us in the playoffs one year.
  3. I think the 49ers will be a playoff team this year.
  4. So I guess calling someone a douche isn't sufficient grounds for a negative vote either? :dunno: What about Yankee fandom?
  5. I remember saying Golden State would give Dallas a ton of problems but I never expected them to go up 3-1, which is what they did tonight. Well, after Game 3 I actually did expect them to win tonight and win the series -- but before the series, I never woulda thunk it'd be possible.
  6. I think this makes the Patriots the favorites to win it all. Thank god the Broncos picked up Dre Bly and now have Bates at D-Coordinator -- you shouldn't be able to torch us like you will most other teams. Champ can cover Moss without much problem and Bly can cover Stallworth -- but the Pats are, even if Cutler has a good year, still noticeably better than the Broncos. Now, let's be realistic, though -- Stallworth is overrated. He's never reached the potential, and his potential and what he could eventually be is the only reason anybody knows his name. I'm also assuming Moss' struggles of late are more than just character issues and that he has lost a step since for that cheap, cheap price, there were still only three teams or so actually interested, which seems kind of suspicious. Don't expect the guy that destroyed teams when he came into the league -- don't expect the 42 catch Moss from last year either, though. The Patriots have had a fantastic offseason and if Maroney stays healthy (I've heard question marks about the health of his shoulder), those two alone teamed up with Brady will be enough to fuel a high powered offense... and then you have Welker and Kelley Washington, whom I like a lot. If I was a bettin' man... I sure as hell wouldn't bet on Super Bowl winners. ... But the Pats are the favorites.
  7. I would assume they did. I was in Florida at the time and didn't have much access to a TV or the internet, though, so I wouldn't know.
  8. The limo he and Javon Walker were in on New Years go shot. And then another Bronco, Damien Nash, died of a heart problem not long after.
  9. Where at? Maybe Atlanta would've taken one of them. Teddy Ginn Jr. shouldn't have been top ten to Miami... But with where the Patriots pick from the 49ers will end up, would they really do that much better than they would've this year?
  10. I don't know... I look at next years draft and I see very little that I like. Certainly at the offensive skill positions. Plus, I think the 49ers are a playoff team this year.
  11. Good pickup by the 49ers. Kwame Harris is terrible.
  12. And they traded down
  13. Yeah, I go with him or trade down.
  14. I'm thinking Posluzny.
  15. Alright, Dallas gets themselves back into the First Round... The Eagles traded their No. 26 pick to Dallas in exhange for the Cowboys' 2nd round pick (36 overall), 3rd round (87th overall) and 5th round (159 overall) And they take DE Anthony Spencer. I don't know about him... I know the Broncos were at least considering him and I wasn't very sure about. Glad they got Jarvis Moss instead.
  16. Yeah, I figured him as a second rounder. I was thinking maybe Beason, also from Miami, or Poluszny for the Patriots. Not a bad pick, though. The guy's got skill.
  17. I don't remember seeing a team that was this much fun to watch. If Denver can't win it all, I have to admit I'd be pulling for Golden State.
  18. Golden State is just pouring it on Dallas right now. Almost makes you forget which team is the one seed.
  19. What's the score at this point? I've got 9-4 according to ESPN's gamecast... but then again, according to ESPN's gamecast, Rivera threw 8 balls and 4 strikes to Pedroia who walked in the at bat.
  20. Game two made me think the Nuggets were going to win this series, even though they lost the game itself. 'Melo and Iverson were terrible in the first half, 'Melo couldn't hit an open shot for his life, and the Nuggets were still able to rally late and make a game of it. Additionally, while the game was officiated rather well, Allen Iverson couldn't draw a foul for his life. If he gets a few foul calls that he should've gotten, you never know if the game turns out differently. He takes 25 shots, is aggressive and in the lane all night, and doesn't get one free throw? That doesn't make sense. Eh, oh well.
  21. Nuggets also came back from a 2-0 deficit to win the 5 game series. http://lowpost.net/blog/images/game/mutombo-celebrate.jpg Pretty memorable image for Nuggets fans... Mutombo on the ground holding the ball in celebration after the game.
  22. Nuggets beat the Spurs in game one. Nuggets get a great all around game and dominate the boards. In past playoffs, teams have been able throw all sorts of looks at Melo and make the other guys beat them... they can't do it anymore. 'Melo and AI combine for sixty-one and they played some pretty good defense! Hope they're not satisfied with this win like they were the last time they played San Antonio in the playoffs.
  23. I want this! And you can get NESN through, at least Direct TV and Dish Network. I used to get it at my apartment, on Dish, and we get it at work, on Direct TV. They just black out the games and such, though. Even though I didn't get to watch the games, I miss having NESN.
