  1. What the hell just happened on that play? I got it as Frank Thomas struck out, Troy Glaus out at first on gamecast.
  2. That is, by far, the worst blown call I've ever seen. When I had only seen it full speed I was scratching my head at how he could've blown it. That's about three feet, no? Eh, the Yankees have been on the other side of some head scratching calls more than their fair share of times.
  3. The Lakers teams had all three of those players at the ends of their careers... outside of their primes. In his first year with the Lakers they lost in Game 7 of the Finals by two points... Wilt missed the last 7 minutes of the game with an injury. He plays those last 7 minutes and there's a good shot of them winning. He missed almost the entire next year, they won the title the next year, and the final year of his career, the Knicks definetely had a center. You might've heard of him... Willis Reed? And this wasn't the series that he played injured. But I digress... the argument is not only off-topic, it's ridiculous. I brought up Pedro earlier to remind you that what you get from a player is not always worth what you pay. No player has ever been, or will ever be, worth the money Clemens will be getting. If he averages the same amount of pitchers per start this year as he did last year... the Yankees will be paying him about $9,000 for every pitch he throws. If Clemens pulls his hammy in his second start is he worth the money? It's not any less likely to happen then him making that two game difference between us making or missing the postseason.
  4. Hurrah!
  5. Sadly, I think he is.
  6. It's the 'no lives' part. Definetely no lives. The problem was that you bragged about it like a jackass. And as I said, nobody likes a bragger.
  7. As per usual, ORS puts it much better than I ever could.
  8. Pedroia! According to Gamecast, Santana's already at 81 pitches!
  9. Watched it, great race. I wanted to bet on it but I don't know anything about the horses. Not only could I not name one of them coming into today... I didn't even realize today was the Kentucky Derby day until late last night.
  10. The perfect game and the shutout go in one pitch. Regardless... great effort from Wang today.
  11. Exactly. If you filled out your bracket anything like 99% of people do, you more or less picked it how you wanted to go. I said the Nuggets would win it all on Facebook but acknowledged that the chances were that they wouldn't leave the first round. You basically said that barring a miracle, Dallas would win. Dallas lost, yet you take credit for predicting it? Please.
  12. Bosox, you said... Dallas vs Golden State (Don't be surprised if GS takes a game or two, they've had a good amount of success against Dallas recently, however the Mavericks are arguably the best team in the league and barring a miracle, will move on to the second round.) How is saying that Golden State will need a miracle to move on predicting Golden State to win? I digress... Dirk is soft. The Mavericks offense should be run through Josh Howard since he's the much more versatile player.
  13. Me too. I like how, I think it was Steve Kerr, described the way they play. If Phoenix is organized chaos... Golden State is just chaos. And it fits them so well. What a fun team to watch play -- and when they're hitting the type of shots they have been and they feed off of that crowd they can beat anybody in the League in a seven game series.

    08 Draft

Come on man, this is just ignorance... Do you know anything about the 49ers? They added Michael Lewis and Nate Clements to their defense, had one of the best drafts of any team in the League, and added Darrell Jackson and Ashley Lelie on offense and Vernon Davis missed six games. Besides, what's to stop some of the other teams on their schedule from regressing? And also, their schedule, based on how these teams did last year, should be in the upper half of the League for easy schedules, not the lower half. They're considered to have one of the top off-seasons along with New England and Denver... how can a young team that took huge strides last year and added so much veteran talent look primed to regress?
  15. Is clapping really that bad of an offense? He wasn't even looking towards the official. NBA Officials need to get the sand out of their vaginas. Talk about sensitive...
  16. That's what I was thinking. How do their trainers still have jobs at this point?
  17. He'll get his money... what are the odds that he gets cut before his contract is up? Seven trillion to one?
  18. Not a pay cut... just restructuring it. He's still getting just as much money as he was... just later rather than sooner.
  19. Good game, tough loss. The Spurs are a hell of a team -- the Spurs got that one call, but other than that, the officiating heavily favored the Nuggets, I thought, and we still couldn't beat 'em. Duncan got hacked constantly and we still couldn't stop their offense. Oh well, good game, it's been a good season. But no way we take the next three. I'm pulling for the Warriors, I think.
