  1. Both pitchers look good through four (three for Pettitte). Feels good to see Coors Field packed again like it used to be.
  2. Tightness in JD Drew's Quad. He's out as a precautionary measure, I guess. On another note, Tavares is the man! And a double for Wily Mo!
  3. Yeah, I didn't notice him limping. I saw him slow up as it was obvious that he'd be held to a double, but I didn't notice any limp.
  4. No doubt about that one. Safe to say he looked much better in that at bat.
  5. extra base hits for everybody!
  6. Come on, Covelli! You'll get your nickname back when you earn it.
  7. ... what?! First base ump blew that one...
  8. Manny just makes it look so easy. 2-0!
  9. And Pedroia doubles! Love this start!
  10. So it was just caps until we scored, right? That was quick.
  11. This guy will never play another down in the NFL.
  12. Rockies win! A lot of people may not realize this but the Rockies have a hell of a baseball team. They weren't clicking earlier in the season but they've started clicking this past month and have been hotter than anybody, save for the Yankees in their last 12.
  13. Double for Matsui... not a good start to the inning.
  14. Time for Spilborghs to add some insurance... maybe...
  15. A-Rod sure did make that a close play at second.
  16. Fascinating. I did not know that.
  17. Uh Oh... A-Rod with two on. I'm scared for the Rockies, here.
  18. He was terrible in May. In April he allowed 1 ER in 13 innings. In may his ERA was North of 5. 2.16 in June so far. Outside of playing Kansas City and San Francisco he's been lights out. But those two teams have torched him.
  19. Yorvit makes it 3-1! And the Red Sox and Yankees have made Josh Fogg look like Cy Young.
  20. 2-1 Rockies on a Matt Holliday double!
  21. Whoa... did a Spurs fan just call another player a flopping genius? Manu Ginobli is, by far, the worst flopper in the league and from what I've seen, Fabricio Oberto is pretty damn close. The reason the League is considering making flopping a technical is basically because of your team. But I digress... Big Z sucks.
  22. Eh, I could go either way. I'd like to see the strategical aspect of it but I can't stand seeing guys at the plate who have no business being at the plate. You get the occassional pitcher that can hold his own, hit for a low, but somewhat respectable average, and then you have the guys who just go up and flail at everything and it's just ugly to watch.
  23. Yeah, but what doesn't get better ratings than the NHL? Saw an article posted on another message board... For the NHL Stanley Cup Finals: # Game One ranked 58th among all TV programs on May 28, with its 0.5 U.S HH rating and average audience of 769,000 viewers, ranking just behind Food Network's 'Build a Better Burger' (807,000 viewers) and E!'s 'Sunset Tan' (795,000 viewers)." # "Game Two ranked 74th on May 30 with a U.S HH rating of 0.4 and an average audience of 576,000, placing it just behind a pair of episodes of "Mama's Family" on ION Networks (659,000 viewers and 620,000 viewers) and "VH1 All Access: Celebrity Parties" (578,000) (THE DAILY)." # Game 3 "fell below the movie "Meltdown: Days Destruct" on Sci-Fi Channel, which posted a 1.2 U.S HH rating and 1.963 million viewers from 9:00-11:00pm the same night."
