  1. Should be. He only had 89 at-bats last year and he didn't spend 45 days on the roster before the rosters expanded.
  2. You're really bad at picking players to hold grudges against.
  3. It wasn't necessarily the all-world for one game comment... he was damn good that game. I remember watching it. But the "I bet they wish they hadn't traded away Schaub" train of thought is a pretty popular one. Is Culpepper a possibility for them?
  4. What makes people think Schaub is so good? Kid's started two games in his career and he was terrible in one of 'em.
  5. I might get in on that action.
  6. So... f***ing... close... Get him home, Lugo!
  7. Get your money while you can. The guy was a top DB in the league for peanuts (compared to other NFL contracts, that is)... he's earned it.
  8. They have to fill the slow sports period somehow... but this is a ridiculous way to do it. 50 States in 50 days, or whatever it was called, was actually a good idea. But with how much it probably cost ESPN, somebody probably lost a job over it. You have to fill time somehow, and Oden and Durant playing summer league ball can only fill so much, but this is a stupid way to do it.
  9. Niiiice, Coco! 2-0! Coco's on third.
  10. Sure he is! Anything's funny when you scream it and act like a jackass on stage. Him and Carlos Mencia are terrible. Unwatchable. Plus the whole stealing jokes stuff.
  11. But listening to "Back, back, back, back, back, back, back..." for hours is not.
  12. Not much in the first round, leaders tied for five. Holliday did very well in the second round, though. Rios kicked all sorts of ass, right there.
  13. Haren's numbers tend to suggest a great deal of luck, actually... but whatever, it's ERA that people care about so Haren deserves it.
  14. But Jefferson's so much younger. I don't think he'll be injury prone or anything, I just think it'll cost him a lot of what was left of his ability to beat people off the dribble. I didn't get to watch him play much last year, but from what I saw he's not nearly as capable of putting the ball on the floor and beating people like that as he used to be. The surgeries can't help. And I think the touches that Ray Allen demands, and therefore, Jefferson doesn't get, will retard Jefferson's growth. Like I said, he's a great jump shooter -- but that's what he is at this point -- a jump shooter.
  15. Luis Rodriguez (?) with a two run jack. 6-2 Twins.
  16. Because Allen's coming off of surgery on both ankles. He's not the kind of player that is going to kill anybody off of the dribble anymore, and the surgeries certainly aren't going to help that. He's a jump shooter... a damn good one... but he's a jump shooter. And he and Paul Pierce are going to demand touches and, in my opinion, it's going to retard the growth of Jefferson. I just don't see this is a good move for the Celtics. It's a panic move. Granted, I don't watch the Celtics much, but I don't see where Ray Allen fits. It's a 45 win team in the East.
  17. Fuentes just blew another save on a walkoff HR. Insane.
  18. Finally we catch a f***ing break! *edit: On the bunt, that is. What a catch by Ichiro!
  19. And he jumps to conclusions and gets excited way to early. "Ichiro's not going to be able to get to this one!" when Ichiro's practically standing under the ball.
