Heh. I'm not actually watching the game, just on gamecast. Not sure if it's on ESPN or whatever but it's blacked out on MLB.tv for me :dunno: f***in' A... 9-8 Yankees.

Kudos to the Blue Jays. They could've just mailed it in the rest of the season but they gave the Red Sox hell and now they're doing the same to the Yankees.

Okay. I misread Kilo, anyway. I thought he said they'd never faced him this year, but it appears to have been an exaggeration now that I read over again. My bad. And we know teams don't actually bend over for the Yankees, but it just seems like they catch some breaks in that regard... probably not the case, we just notice it more, so we complain about it. -

How've we done against the Yankees the last five or so times we've played them? The Yankees are back in this division race because the Sox didn't bury them when they had the chance and they've had five or six chances. Even when they weren't playing the Yankees, I'm pretty sure there was a stretch where the Yankees had lost four or five straight and the Red Sox dropped games they should've been winning as opposed to tacking on to their lead. It's the absolute truth... if you don't go for the throat, and if you're content with what you have when a roster that good is struggling and you don't have that killer instinct to bury them while you can then you don't deserve to win the division when they close in you get swept by the Blue Jays. It's that simple. I'm not saying the sky is falling, I'm not panicking that the season is over... I love our chances to win it all, I really do, but I'm echoing now what I said at the time, you have to bury the Yankees when you have the chance.

I'm all for it. I'd like to see this team as close to 100% as possible and if that means not winning the division, then so be it. I may be in the minority on that one but that's how I feel.
