  1. And Adrian Gonzalez puts an end to the no-hitter and the shutout in one swing.
  2. Look, Rhet, there is no way that ball went off of Gasol, though. I've slowed it down and watched it too many times. It touches Garnett's hands last when he closes his hand to grasp the ball. If you see it any other way, you're just seeing what you want to. The "inconclusive" argument is legitimate, because only one of the four or so camera clearly shows it, but saying it went off of Gasol? Erroneous. It could have been a loose ball foul and Gasol on the line, which I wouldn't agree with, but it's better than them completely blowing the call.
  3. Kobe's fourth, when he "pushed" Rondo out of bounds, was a terrible call as well. He was really limited on both ends by playing the bulk of the fourth quarter with five fouls. Referees have to start letting these guys play -- they're ruining otherwise great basketball.
  4. Agree to disagree. That baseline camera shot looks pretty conclusive.
  5. That ball definitely touched Garnett last. Gasol's hand mostly touched the back of Garnett's.
  6. How do you not overturn that call? f*** instant replay... That's too big of a call to f*** up twice.
  7. Lakers have been dominated most of this game and they're up one.
  8. 4-1 Blackhawks, wish the two games weren't on opposite of one another. edit: 4-2. Game one kind of feel to it.
  9. Great ending to the half. Kobe with the steal... no doubt that ball was going in. Lakers have to feel good being down by just six.
  10. What a ******** third foul on Kobe. Wow... 7 for 7 from 3 by Ray Allen... ridiculous.
  11. Well, it appears the Blackhawks are awake now...
  12. ... It's about to go up. Two run shot for Connor Jackson.
  13. Ubaldo Jimenez on the mound for the Rockies against Arizona. Same old story... five scoreless so far, 31 straight.
  14. So as I understand it, the Flyers were one of the most penalized teams in the league this year and the Blackhawks were one of the least penalized, yet the Flyers seem to be getting all of the calls so far in this series. Pronger alone has gotten away with so much.
  15. The Denkinger call would've been the first out of the 9th inning. It wasn't as much of a hypothetical in the Twins/Mariners games because the Mariners scored the game winning run on that play. They may have lost the game anyway, but they didn't get a chance to play it out, which is the issue. They may not have won, but they surely lost because of that specific play.
  16. How have the Twins' last two regular seasons ended? Hint: They played 163 games.
  17. Why? The Tigers still won the game. The Twins took a loss because of their blown call. In the words of Herm Edwards, you play to win the game.
  18. Instant replay sucks. It sucks in the NFL, it would suck in Major League Baseball. You can't go back and overturn the call because it sets an awful, awful precedent. The Twins lost a game yesterday because of a blown call at second base -- if you overturn the Galarraga call don't you have to overturn that call and replay the game from there? Don't you have to change the Don Denkinger call?
  19. http://twitpic.com/1terws There's the still shot. Not even close.
  20. That wasn't even close. What a terrible time for a blown call.
  21. Complete game shutout makes the ERA 0.78
