  1. Or... "There's only one October... but we f***ed up the scheduling so we had to extend it a bit." 4-1! Youk shows his wheels!
  2. And they built their team almost entirely from within. There was something on ESPN about how these Rockies were assembled, and it showed where each player came from and stuff and it was real interesting. I've obviously been a vocal Rockies fan here, so while it is tough rooting against them, theres never been any doubt as to who I want. They are such a likable team. DREW!!! 3-0!!!
  3. And Lowell takes ball four for a called strike one.
  4. Dear Rockies... We ain't the Diamondbacks. Good luck!
  5. Two things... Hooters is overrated these days. And yes... the intro to the pregame show sure was lame.
  6. You act like it's the f***ing moon. There is oxygen in Denver, Colorado. The altitude will have no physical effect on a pitcher.
  7. Sure wish I had thought to do this... ya'll know I'd have had the Red Sox vs. Rockies in the World Series!
  8. So if I had thought to request time off from work when the possibility of Rockies/Red Sox came up, I'd be going to game three...
  9. Special night for him... I hope he doesn't think all the games he goes to will be like that... How old is he, if you don't mind my asking?
  10. Not a big loss. I wouldn't have wanted Wake pitching in Colorado -- the knuckleball in the thin air of Colorado could've been a disaster.
  11. Lester unless we really need it.
  12. No he shouldn't. Knock it off.
  13. I'd say that in the history of baseball in Colorado, you're the only person ever to show this concern, Jacko. Unfortunately, I'm not sure it's well placed.
  14. But it's not the type of thing that leaves somebody gasping for air, which is really the only time the altitude would have an effect. Has there ever been a pitcher that has gasped for air because of pitching? Even David Wells went 5 innings last time he pitched in Coors... and he would have gone farther if he didn't get lit up.
  15. The air shouldn't be a problem since he won't be running. But if Papi hits one into the gap... he very well could die trying to get to second.
  16. Just imagine how good it feels for those of us that supported this team the entire season, took the highs and the lows, and didn't need "vacations" from the Red Sox!
  17. My team sucks. Anyone, preferably the Average Joes, want to trade teams?
