  1. Not saying in this series... because everyone can agree that we've been awful. I mean in the regular season we did.
  2. Nice pitch by Papelbon to get out of the jam. Hopefully that's jump start us. Remember... we were down by 2 late in game 5 of last years ALCS
  3. We've hit 'em before... so some runs is definetely not too much to ask for.
  4. I don't think giving up 4 runs is all that bad... then again, maybe I'm just an idiot for expecting the best lineup in baseball to score runs. What an embarassing performance by the defending Champs... in this game, and in this series.
  5. Perhaps Francona's just trying to make up for all the times he's left guys in for too long?
  6. I have to disagree with this one, and not because he's a Yankee, either. The reason he ever had to make a comeback in the first place was because he was a cheater, using steroids... seems like they're kind of celebrating his steroid usage, in a way.
  7. Here's the pic, by the way http://www.espn.go.com/media/pg2/2005/1003/photo/damon_265.jpg
  8. Did anyone see that Johnny Damon had accidentally been given an Astro's Divisional Series hat and was wearing it during one of the interviews?
  9. Look, guys... I'd like to believe the Red Sox will show their flare for the dramatic and take three straight, and I understand that there's no team in baseball that's more capable of doing it... but if you play with fire, you're eventually going to get burned.
  10. I'm beginning to think that starting Clement would be the result of Tito smoking crack. A little off-subject, guys... but let's lay off of the good White Sox fans. There's good ones who aren't trying to taunt us and are just giving their two cents... I'd rather not be hated by a whole other fan base because we're a little frustrated. I'm just saying...
  11. Thank you, Tony G. I hate to pin a loss on one player... but in my opinion, it's fitting here.
  12. Damnit, Damon. Come on Edgar... I've seen you get big hits in the past.... that is not one...
  13. YES! Thank you, Tony! I hated to dislike him for a bit -- I really did. Come on Johnny... we need this.
  14. Grafinino better come up big in the ninth or I'm going to have some unkind things to say about him when I get alcohol in my system. I'd feel a lot better if Ortiz was due up. Couple hits and we can give him a chance, though.
  15. I wish I didn't cheer for a team with a flair for the dramatic. Oh well... Better postseason dramatics than no postseason at all.
  16. I know how that is. I have a 7:45 class. As awesome as Wednesday night is... Thursday Morning is awful. Back on subject... so close for Trot!
  17. Me too... then again, if we win, I'm hitting the bottle too. Nothing quite like "Wasted Wednesday" in a college town.
  18. Come on, Manny... we need ya, here.
  19. Yep. I wish 'good enough to win' counted for something, though. :dunno:
  20. The Red Sox are making it incredibly difficult for me to be optimistic about their postseason chances.
  21. Easier said then done. Ugh. This game has made me sick to my stomach.
  22. Good start, tonight. Let's hope wells is on his game tonight.
  23. Yeah, I'm not sure exactly what position the guy is or was with the Marlins -- but I'd imagine it was someone with a significant amount of say in this kind of stuff. Leyland being hired so quickly along with that guys previous association with him would leave me to believe Leyland was, if not the only, the main reason for Trammell being fired.
  24. Kevin Garnett or Lebron James. I think picking Dwayne Wade is a huge stretch, especially when you consider his teammate is one of the top 5, which takes a lot of attention off of him. And even when Shaq's not in the lineup, he's a slasher in a lineup that had some very capable 3 point threats. I think after this season, 'Melo will be in the conversation. He's supposedly lost 20 lbs.
