  1. As long as they're getting bailed out by Sheldon Williams no-calls late in games, I'm not convinced.
  2. UConn will beat 'em in Storrs. With as bad as Connecticut played and shot free throws down the stretch, still had a chance to win.
  3. Game over, 'Nova wins. Anyone who watched the game... can you tell me how that final steal wasn't a foul? Marcus Williams lost possession of the ball, was able to regain possession and mantain his dribble, and then he got taken out by the guy diving for the ball.
  4. Uconn has looked absolutely pathetic down the stretch. All sorts of open looks for Nova. 'Nova up 6 with two minutes left and on the line -- I'm about ready to concede defeat on this one. Missed free throws by UConn, plus all sorts of open looks for Villanova have been a huge difference down the stretch. I should add first half turnovers to that list, as well as poor shot selection for Connecticut. I wish Josh Boone would show up for one of these games. *edit: 4 missed free throws down the stretch, two of them being the front end of a 1 and 1. In a 5 point game... ridiculous.
  5. It was Nova by 1 at the half, but UConn has come out on fire to start the second half. Already up 6, I believe, about 2 minutes in. Lowry has been impressive, so far, though.
  6. I played for the Yankees in Little League -- hated every second of it.
  7. I posted this in the wrong thread, too, meant to post them in the Official NBA Thread. Oh well.
  8. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v96/mathematixx/allstar2006.jpg Eww..
  9. $38. Where were your seats?
  10. That's got to be embarassing for the host country. Hard to imagine they were expecting for the game to be close, though.
  11. Ahh yes, I wasn't even thinking about college basketball. Stupid me. However, these games right now mean so little it's not even funny.
  12. As far as I'm concerned, SNL has been on hiatus for a couple of years, coming back temporarily to give us the genius that is 'Lazy Sunday'. I love the olympics. Better than any of the other sports going on right now.
  13. As someone who's watched his fair share of Nuggets games, I'm cautiously optimistic.
  14. 5 assists, too. That's the suprising stat. Better get his ass on the boards and get a triple-double! Ugh... Cancel that, no rebounds yet.
  15. 'Melo is wearing something of a shiny headband. It's not the usual material, but one that looks to have a little bit of a shine, for lack of a better term, to from some angles. Never seen that before.
  16. And I'm pretty certain hockey's the only live event. Oh well, I'll probably watch hockey just to stick it to the man... no commercials!
  17. Wait a minute... 61 in the first half? Hopefully it's not like the other day where they played 3 of their best quarters all year with their worst quarter of the year in between and lost the game.
  18. I haven't been watching. I've been watching the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics.
  19. Yeah right. The Nuggets suck. There only hope is that 'Melo feels slighted and wants to show everyone that he should be in the All-Star Game, which has been the case in the past. edit: Holy crap, Nuggets by 9.
  20. A's not so bad, B's everywhere... but C...:thumbdown
  21. ESPN used an awful, awful picture of him... http://espn-att.starwave.com/media/ncb/2006/0210/photo/u_quin2_195.jpg It's a shame he couldn't get Mizzou turned around.
  22. I can't imagine Rodney Harrison being anywhere near the same player he was before the injury. Torn ligaments (ACL, MCL, and PCL, in his case) are tough to come back from -- especially when you're 33 years old. I'd love to see him come back, he's a great player and one I've always loved to watch, no matter what the team.
  23. I would like to thank Pitt for beating West Virginia. I'm fairly sick of hearing about Pittsnoggle and company. Glad UConn doesn't have to go on the road to Pitt, this year.
  24. Ugh... 'Melo gets left off of the All-Star team again. This time in favor of... Pau Gasol? Please, I'd take Camby's numbers over Pau's. 'Melo is averaging 26 PPG!!!
  25. Oooh, good call on that one. I didn't even think about that. I'd actually rather go to that game, anyway. They could also do it in Coors Field, I'd imagine.
