  1. good game to say the least. Wang was a little shaky but still good overall. Rookie mistake by Cano, thats ok he'll learn with time. Jeter and Crosby out there in shallow left was pretty entertaining today the few times they almost collided. Heads up by Posada to get Catalanatto in the first. Cant really be down on Gordon, wasnt all his fault. Mo was shaky, hope it doesnt effect him tomorrow, but even more hopefully, i hope we dont need to use him tomorrow since we're playing Baltimore. Kay and Kaat brought up a good point today, baltimore has now dropped 8 straight (i think its 8), and we need every game in this series, which would mean they would have to drop 12 straight, which is very unlikely, so we cant guve games away with baserunning and defense blunders.
  2. amen hopefully he can play at the stadium in the playoffs and then re-signs
  3. the plate has been very wide today for both teams, i noticed that too. i wouldnt say its like that all year, but it definately was today
  4. you wanna know what else is succinct, to the point, and correct? Your an *******
  5. not necessarily, how many top prospects have fizzled at the big league level. some players just cant make the jump. being a top minor league doesnt always translate to being a good major leaguer, or even a major leaguer at all
  6. 3rd grade called, they want their comebacks back and as you guys say...OWNED!
  7. thats got to be the absolute worst statement ive ever read on this board.
  8. and I will believe the hype regarding all of your prospects when I see it. So far, havent seen much from most of them. (though Papelbon I think has been pretty good, but please, lets not talk about the Moss' and Pedroia's Lester's and Ellesbury's of the world)
  9. good reply
  10. ok now to the game.... I hope Fillipelli and the people at YES just take the tape to this game and throw it in the dumpster so years from now nobody ever knew it extsted. We needed this game, our lead is only a half a game right now. Like I said before Small was officially demoted to the pen, if Wright has a bad outing HE should go to the pen and then let Small take his spot in the rotation, and I stck to that now. Batista was AMAZING
  11. yo, I was just kidding, thats why I added the faces. No need to make a big deal out of it.
  12. WOW...you make spelling mistakes too?
  13. hey...thats racist
  14. we realize that Nomar is not going back, i was just taking in hypothetics. And I said have Nomar play SS, not 3B.
  15. I think not, maybe just rented. Because starting and relieving are two completely different things, and last time I checked Henn has more innings because he started all of his games, DiNardo however did not. So I dont think its a fair comparrison of stats. Its like trying to compare Clemens' and Rivera's stats to determine who the best overall pitcher is.
  16. Dumb Question? Im sorry you feel that way, I was just curious as to what you guys thought about the matter. And while I agree with your definition, I dont believe it is in the official Major League Baseball Dictionary, so people could perceive it different ways.
  17. not all those players are active right now, he was talking about players on the active roster. so does Philip Hughes. And Also Mo said to say hello as well.
  18. why do that when you can have Youk play 3rd and have Nomar play SS for a year so that Hanley has some more time for seasoning...unless you guys think he'll be ready next year.
  19. Im surprised that he hasnt been bumped to the front of the line. We know how Sox fans feel about Yankees who make rapid improvements in the middle of a season.
  20. is anybody surprised though that the guys he named was Tejada? C'mon now, Tejada hasnt exactly been squeaky-clean throughout this whole steroid scandal. (he DID play in Oakland for a long time, which is close to Balco. And Canseco did raise suspicions about Tejada in the book.)
  21. wow I didnt think it was possible for someone who has been so bad/mediocre throughout his career to make this kind of turnaround, but Chacon has been FANTASTIC. Hard to believe considering how bad he was earlier in the season. Any day now we're going to hear the steroid accusations due to the fact that he has made such a ridiculous improvement from earlier in the season when he was with the Rockies where he was horrific.
  22. honestly though, if the Sox actually beieved that he was 26 then they're at fault. You've got to be pretty stupid to think that Cubans are really the age they claim to be.
  23. Also on Walker, I think that he wouldnt be interested in going back to Boston. Though there hasnt really been anything public, im under the assumtion that they too parted on a sour note.
  24. I think its ridiculous that this is going on. Though I wouldnt be surprised if Tejada has had something to do with steroids this is so stupid of Palmeiro. He keeps on with this making it a bigger and bigger deal. sadly? I hope he doesnt get in.
  25. ok, we're on the same page now
