  1. where are you watching the game. Its not on MLB extra innings because they dont air games from Canadian stations and the Yankees are on UPN's Friday Night Yankees on the local UPN affiliate. And ESPN is showing the Sox game with the alternate as Royals vs Guardians. MLB.tv?
  2. yea, and besides, Hernandez will be eligible again next year as well. Another Cano shot. Sure making his case in the important games. Possible hoping to sway some voters!!
  3. Hes not eligible.
  4. maybe some are, but I do know that YES emplys about 6 or 7 camera guys a game, and I do believe that they use their own on-field cameras. But I could be wrong and you could be right, or vice versa. Regardless its irrelevent
  5. thats right I completely forgot about Street.
  6. na YES uses their own cameras.
  7. Ive been syaing that all year, but ive also been saying that the competition is too stiff with Iguchi, Gomes, Swisher, Johnson, Morse (steroid user), and the others out there. But hey ya never know, we're not the voters so we cant really predict it.
  8. In case anybody is interested in Fleet Walker, here is a really interesting link about him. http://www.jockbio.com/Classic/Walker/Walker_bio.html http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/1746/walker21tn.gif
  9. you know it. When I saw links to the reposrting newspapers earlier on prosportsdaily.com my mouth watered. Obviously my first choice would be Damon, but having Torii in the Bronx would be great. He reminiscent to bernie in his prime, just better with the only exception being the bat. And we have a few guys we can trade for him thats names are not Cano, Hughes, Wang, or Duncan.
  10. well you're not like 3 weeks late on this topic.
  11. i think it would make more sense in the long run for them to not call Hansen up. The sooner you call him up the sooner he becomes arbitration eligible, and the sooner the Sox wil have to pay him a big dollar amount. That is if he is the real deal like everyone predicts (which I think he is)
  12. Even if the accident was his fault you get charged? That sounds kind of ridiculous to me, dont they do an investigation and everything beforehand.
  13. and exactly what credibility do you have?
  14. OK, so I was wrong, I did tag it as unbias, would you like to tar and feather me for not remembering WORD for WORD a post I made how many months ago? And I still believe those are pretty fair projections.
  15. I doubt I was replying to your post. If you look at the post above mine made by SFoC it is clear that that was the post that was being replied to.
  16. Eric Duncan is playing AA ball for god's sake. This is only his second full year of pro ball. If you wanna call him Russ Branyan, who is a major leaguer, fine by me. And its not my opinion that he is the #1 prospect, thats the Baseball America ranking. So dont get on me for saying that.
  17. So then I guess we should just stop giving out Emmys altogether. Lets just drop the Grammys and Oscars as well, why not. What NESN show is better than CenterStage??
  18. A) Jim Rice sint a Hall of Famer. B ) There is no denying that Hazel Mae is hot..shes the only reason I watch NESN SportsDesk C) If Michael Kay says its a ball hooking foul, foul, foul, etc...thats because it is. Its not like hes lying. Its not like he says that about a shot to dead-center. Please that was ridiculous. D) I didnt say that Remy was a bad anaylyst, I just said I find him annoying at times. Congrats to him for winning the award.
  19. Looks like he has pretty good balance now. Whenevr it looks like hes going to fall over with that powerful swing he stays up. Hey guys, I slowly see this thread becoming an "attack Giambi" thread so if you want to attack Jason, me, or both Jason or me (like everyone else) go to the Giambi thread.
  20. Um...you dont know what you're talking about. You can go and look at the box scores to verify this. After his walkoff shot against Pittsburgh he went back into a week-long slump (somewhere between a week and 2 weeks) and then after that he started to turn it up agai, full time. And how are my points not valid. Because im a Yankee fan and dont share the same opinion as you guys?
  21. I didnt tag that as unbiased, as a Yankee fan im obviously going to defend the Yankee prospects. Also if you go back and read the posts I think the things I said were fair, and because I strongly defend an opinion doesnt mean im trying to push my feleing on a matter onto someone else. Get a clue. Its no secret 8/10 Yankee fans booed Giambi early in the year. But because of his production he is getting more support. There is no denying that, but i dont think that makes a fairweather fan. Even you guys dont support every player. For instance. You guys love Millar when he's good and absolutely kill him when he's been bad. (Please dont even argue this, there are numerous threads filled with you guys bashing Millar). Does this make you guys fairweather fans?
  22. I doubt the Sox plan on playing him every day, they just saw yesterday as an opprotunity to get a young guy in a game.
  23. I think you misunderstood the point that RedRuffing and I were trying to make. Also I think that statement about him being in the game for himself is a pretty bold thing to say. He went to the Blue Jays because he liked the deal, he got traded to the Yankees because he didnt like it in Toronto. He went to the Astros because his best friend went there and because his family approved of it (the whole reason he retired was for his families sake).
  24. I dont think thats exactly what he meant. I think he meant that it was nice to see him get the playing time yesterday because Gabe got hurt, not that he wanted Gabe to get hurt so Machado could get playing time. To quote a very generous man, you're logic just sucks on this one.
  25. difference between you and Lucchino is that he is an official who is supposed to go about things in a professional manner and speculating on another player and steroid use is extremely unprofessional. I wouldnt be surprised to see a fine. if he wants to speculate he can do so in t he comfort of his on home, with his friends, or he can come on this board with a disguised identity and do it. (wouldnt completely shock me )
