  1. sure, I like to see the Sox lose, but Yankee fans dont take it to the extent that sox fans do.
  2. yea, im pretty tired of this "best leadoff hitter in the game" stuff, I will take Ichiro over Damon ANY DAY!
  3. HOw come it would be worse for the Yankees to "reach the top of the mountain" than the Sox not making the playoffs? ..that is definately something I noticed about the Sox and their fans. They are more concerned about the Yankees then themselves. After the series was won the big thing was the fact that you guys beat the Yankees, trust me, when we win a World Series, we're happy because we won, not because you didnt. The media, fans, and organization have taken that mindset up there where everything that takes place has something to do with the Yankees. To the Red Sox 28 teams are non-existant, the only two teams that exist to a lot of RSN (note, I said A LOT, not all of RSN) are the Yankees and Red Sox. I dont get it. Anyways...didnt mean to start controversy with my statement, but I know thats what is going to be the end result...sorry
  4. seems like a research lab or something. Not my idea of baseball discussion. I dont want to have to write a paper for a post, just talking baseball is good enough for me.
  5. Is he really? I should have known that. Escobar re-upped with Washington Gipson could be good, but unlikely. He played the entire year last year in AAA for the Astros, after being released out of Spring Training with another club I believe. his only time in the bigs last year was as a September callup. I cant see the Sox giving him a chance. But if they did he would be another guy to throw on the list in the Red Sox/yankee thread I would give Burnitz a chance, and I would give Hidalgo a shot on a Minor League deal with a ST invite. Burnitz had a pretty good year last year and Hidalgo was pretty productive for the Mets in 2004, last year could have just been an off-year.
  6. ..I was just reading some of Curt's old posts, and it appears he REALLY, REALLY, REALLY does not like Dan Shaughnessy. ...what's the deal with this board, sounds like some exclusive Country Club.
  7. my only intentions are to sign up and then PM Curt Schilling and then send him exactly what I posted on the last page. Dont plan to stick around long.
  8. Preach on Brother!!
  9. Yea, but they arent going to know I am a Yankee fan. I am typing out my regiostration onw (they have you type a f***ing biography for them to review before deciding whether or not to accept or reject you haha ) WHY on earth are they so stingy like that, why is it such a big deal to them?? And are their any Yankee sites like that, can never find any good Yankee boards??
  10. Seriously, pretty much echoed my thoughts on the matter. That conbined with my mood at the team resulted in that post haha
  11. didnt work for some reason ....J.T. Snow could soon be added to that list as the Sox are one of four (I believe its 4) teams he is considering.
  12. Did you really?????!!!!!!! Thats cool as hell. I loved that show last year. Talkin to Vinny about it he made it seem so horrible, like the long hours, and no free time, and dealing with annoying Dave and Christa...but I would love to do it when i'm 18....if I get accepted onto the show I would gladly take a year off before I started college to do this show. This year I believe their doing sort of a Real World type thing where everybody lives in the same apartment and is COMPLETELY devoted to the show. I guess there was too much conflict last year. Good luck, pullin for ya!
  13. It really did as a matter of fact FANTASTIC point!!!
  14. Thanks bro...I will be joining that board sometime today...in disguise (I will pretend Im a Sox fan )
  15. Preach on man!! lol But seriously, good post.
  16. Byrnes is another good one out there. Im surprised nobodus picked him up yet considering how highly sought after he was last offseason. Maybe he could play Center for you guys, not a bad idea.
  17. on hops...but defintely not on a line.
  18. haha I want the Yankees to sign Marrero (or trade for Hammock) because of his versatility as well. Pretty cool. Anyways, I think Sosa is a risj worth taking. Some team should pick him up, he is definately capable of being the Sosa of old. Peopleare entitled to have an off season or two. He would be a monster with that monster out there.
  19. Matsuis arm isnt that bad. Granted, its not great, but its decent.
  20. Signing Weaver should pretty much justify George signing a check for every person in the Red Sox Front Office We all saw that Weaver cannot handle the pressure that goes along with pitching in the Northeast for a big time franchise.
  21. We would probaby move him to left and Hideki to Right.
  22. Yea, thats going to kill them in the long run.
  23. Good. Keep everyone out of Boston !!!!
  24. Amen Why is he going to hate it??
