  1. Also, former Yankee Alex Graman has signed on with the Seibu Lions of NPB (Kas Matsui's former team) for 2006.
  2. Right, because Reyes and Wright are pretty old guys.
  3. I explained in the last page I believe. I am a diehard Yankee fan, but being from New York it is impossible for me to hate, or even dislike a team that represents New York. Therefore I am a fan of all New York area teams. But my loyalties are with the Yankees.
  4. yea lol , that made me laugh as well Made more updates. The rest of TB's signings late last night, in addition to the Julian Tavarez deal and Ben Weber signing with the Blue Jays. I think Ben is a good pitcher and should have gone somewhere else. If he can get a spot in that pen then its ok, but their pen is pretty packed.
  5. I hope so. I really liked Jacobs, this is the one trade I wish we didnt do. But I wouldnt be surprised if he did. Delgado, with his declining power, in that huge ballpark is definately going to decrease in his power numbers.
  6. Thinkinh about it, it would be a reallly good move IMO. It would sort of change the team's identity though. From a slugging, good offensive club to more of a speed/defense kind of thing, but thats never a bad thing.
  7. What are you talking about? If he averaged 70 homers over the next six years he would be considered a god!!
  8. I dont blame him for that, they were in contention that year, thought a playoff appearance would be good for the franchise (which it obviously would have been). He hasnt made too many bad trades. I really dont see how. Nothing they have done this year has been too bad, with the exception of the Delgado trade, giving up Jacobs, (who I think could become a very good ballsplayer) and Yusmeiro Petit and trading Gaby hernandez, but it was for Lo Duca, who is a very good catcher, and who is a payer we needed. All of Minaya's signings have been pretty good. Granted, giving Pedro a 4 year deal wasnt the best move, but thats really his only bad (if you could call it that) move. He came to New York (NY= HUGE Vudget) frim Montreal (Mon = VERY VERY SMALL Budget) and he wanted to make an impact. Say whatt you want, but that move made a huge impact on the Mets. Signing a top free agent pitcher doesnt constitute dubbing him a bad GM (You guys added Schilling, pretty much the same thing). Beltran; a lot of money, but again, a move to make an impact, draw some fans, and sign a very good talent in the meantime. We cant even wuestion the Wagner deal, that was a must, and thats pretty much it for the big free agent signings. IMO the worst move he's made is trading Cameron for nady, but that cut salary. If he was as bad as you guys make him out to be he wouldnt have sliced some payroll and kept Cameron. All im saying is that I think you guys are being unfair. He didnt do anything the Red Sox wouldnt have done. Trading prospects is something you guys have done as well. No. It likely wont happen now.
  9. but wow, the Sox bullpen, if healthy is going to be one of the best this year. All it takes to go from a weak bullpen to a dominant one is 2 or 3 new pitchers. (ex: Yankees 2003=Yankees 2004 after we added Gordon and Quantrill and later Sturtze, we were considered to have one of the top 2 bullpens). This will definately help the Sox out.
  10. WOW, i DIDNT EXPECT THIS ONE. tHE sOX' NAME HASNT BEEN MENTIONED AT ALL IN THE JULIAN TAVAREZ TALKS sorry, didnt realize it was all caps until I was half done and I didnt really want to go back and type it over
  11. I disagree. He hasnt done a bad job with the prospects. IMO the worst deal involving prospects that he made was trading Petit and Jacobs, but its understandable for Delgado. I dont have it all in front o me but tomorrow i'll take a look at his positives and negatives and analyze from there. Considering what he had to work with in Montreal I think it is unfair to say he left it a mess, there wasnt much he could do.
  12. more updates (Some Tigers signings and Wiggington to TB )
  13. I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope this is true
  14. I think Rice and Gossage should have gotten in. I like Blyleven a lot but dont think he deserves it. Happy for Sutter that he finally got it. Hopefully next year for Goose.
  15. the updates have been made my friends
  16. lmao
  17. yea definately, me and my Latin friend joke about it all the time. About how theyre going to stop selling hot dogs at Shea from now on and replace them with burritos and rice and latin dishes. But you guys made omar out to be a bad GM when in fact he is a very good GM.
  18. wow, thats a good signing for the Tigers. He could potentially be a great addition to the bullpen if healthy.
  19. From what i've heard/read a team could get Wilson pretty cheaply. If they were so high on him they wouldnt have gone and picked up players that play every position he plays. He is obviously the odd-man out in Pittsburgh and could be had for a pretty cheap price. And yes, I am aware that Wilson is pretty bad behind the plate, I didnt mean to get him so that he could start or anything. The backup catcher is Stinnett, I want a 3rd catcher in case of emergency. For instance, Posada is DHing, Stinnett is catching, Stinnett gets hurt. Rather than bringing Posada in to catch and losing our DH forcing the pitcher to hit, we could pluyg Wilson/Hammock/Marrero in behind the plate for the rest of the game. Something like that.
  20. That is a mistake in my opinion. If we carry three catchers one of them NEEDS to be able to play other positions as well that way we dont destroy our bench depth. reason why i've suggested guys like Robby Hammock, Craig Wilson, Eli Marrero, etc.
  21. Thats why I want Craig Wilson (Or Robby Hammock, or Eli Marrero, etc). We NEED someone who can catch as well as play other positions if we are going to have Posada DH at all this season. I dont see why Cashman doesnt understand this. Wilson would be perfect, he would be a big bat off the bench as well as provide much needed versatility to the bench.
  22. After they get injured, before they go down to Tampa for rehab guess who's gonna be waiting outside for them...i'll have those f***ers NEVER leaving home, not even for a sandwich or something http://img462.imageshack.us/img462/9647/milanbuilding6ew.jpg
  23. Unfortunately not...I dont know what floors they are on, but I do know Pavano is 3 floors beneath Sturtze. Maybe They can invite Wright over and pull all-nighters in the lobby Maybe Ill go over there (Its the Milan building) and throw eggs and water balloons and other things like that at them. For every run they give up in a game, i'll be waiting for them to get home and throw that many eggs or ballons at them
