    I was thinking the same today. They look identical. Bigger white dudes with stupid looking goatees... Except Hanrahan doesn't suck. I am unusually optimistic about this team this year... I can't believe it really. Haven't felt this good about a Sox team in years.

    Good luck to Indian's fans, with the combination of FRancona as manager and Dice-K possibly in the rotation they better prepare for an average game time of 7 hours and Dice-K being left in for 145 pitches with an 8 run deficit through 4 innings

    I can only speak from 2003 to present since that is when I got into the Sox. I'd say Ortiz' 2006 season. That season was hard to watch, but the only thing that kept me coming back was Ortiz. I remember the first day of my senior year of high school I won tickets to a game against the Angels from this very board and it ended up being a Tim Wakefield complete game and David Ortiz walk off home run. I will never, ever forget that.

    You are pretty much exactly right. I thought that even before I posted, I just wanted to fuel the fire a bit more :harhar: In latin culture people tend to be really close. Even when it is someone who may just be an acquaintance or someone known in passing they tend to take death very serious and will go to funerals and make contact with their family to express their condolences. I've dealt with that s*** enough... and honestly I hate the whole funerals and wakes thing. I find it pointless now. But that's their thing. As much as I hate all that stuff I still would of liked to have seen them all show up there and if I were a player I would of. Show some solidarity or something.
