  1. You are right in that it was not cheating before. Thats major league baseballs fault. Never the less the players should have more respect for the game then to smudge its name all over illegal drugs. I get annoyed when I see football players get nailed for drugs.....GROW UP athletes. Its the real world try to conduct yourself in a professional manner.
  2. Graffanino looks like one of those guys who steps up his game when playing for a good team. I dont think any of us expected him to be doing this. A steady backup to secure the infield...sure. But wow this guy is on a tear. ......and how about Gabe Kapler pulling a Pete Rose at third. Kapler rules!
  3. I'd like to see either DiNardo, Alvarez, or Papelbon take the start. If Remlinger can't do the job as a lefty setup man I would really like to see Alvarez or DiNardo take the start so we may get a look at possible bullpen help in September.
  4. lets hope Kenny Rogers has issues with long rest
  5. juan uribe strikes out 3 times in the game...then triples on Mo...lol awesome
  6. two games in a row for the Yanks that are pitching contests....go figure
  7. what pitches does this kid have??
  8. a little off topic but did anyone see Scott Harper take that jump down to the net. Holy crap that kid has balls and might be a little mentally unstable.... I read he is going to be charged big time for that. I also like Steins comments saying "it was the only thing exciting today" haha
  9. Everyone on the Sox seems so happy, no steroid mood swings. Ortiz is too cheerful, Manny wouldn't even know how to take steroids, Schilling is a warrior, Arroyo weighs less than my finger, Varitek is the least likely of anyone in the league, Mueller again weighs less than my finger, Wells lasted one day on the subway diet.... The only person I could really point to MIGHT be Gabe Kapler but he has always looked like that for as long as I remember him being in the league.
  10. What if Petagine is actually the next Hideki Matsui?? I mean yeah we need to wait and see but those are huge numbers that are hard to ignore. Defense easily goes to Olerud, I have to say hitting goes to Petagine, and personality to Millar. Would be nice to put all three of them together and create one solid all around player for 1st.
  11. He weighs the same as Ortiz...and is 2 inches shorter haha. Hey I like having a fat team...better then a steroid injected clean shaved bunch of homos....zzzing ...speaking of homos....Embree gave up another HR yesturday hahahaha
  12. He is also 6-7 compared to Wells who is 6-3.
  13. Whats wrong with Petagine's defense??? I know he had "1" error the other day.....but thats pretty normal for the Red Sox. Even the great John Olerud had an error for the Red Sox. Was I incorrect about the gold gloves in Japan??? Looking at his career in the majors...although short most of the time....he has only 2 errors. Hmmm
  14. i was joking...Varitek does have a little chunk....certainly not as bad as it used to be...but nobody in the league is technically in the same category as Wells...XXXXXXL
  15. True I just see him chasing bad pitches which means I think he could actually walk more or work the counts better in his favor. Not saying he isn't doing good already I just think it could be a little better
  16. I don't know about everyone else but I really like him. The guy can hit the ball and he can hit for power which the Sox don't exactly have a lot of HRs coming from the 1B position. If I heard correctly yesturday he has won gold gloves in Japan, an MVP in 2001 and averaged over 30 HRs a season?? Also was tearing up AAA Pawtucket. It appears he is settling down the last couple games and hitting the ball hard. Driving in runs from the back of the lineup. Personally I think he should stick around and continue to play. What does everyone else think of him?
  17. It would be funny is Sheffield was on them after what he said on Quite Frankly with Steven A. Smith. Red Sox players that could be on steroids... Wells, Varitek, Ortiz, Schilling.....oh wait no....they are just fat
  18. I think Edgar should do a better job of working the counts in his favor. He sees more pitches because of Ortiz and Manny so if he can get to more 3-2 counts he could do a lot more damage. I see him swing at too many bad pitches. He does make some real nice plays but this year he has made a lot of easy plays look real difficult. Luckily thats a trend I wouldnt expect to continue for 4 years. You are correct in that Hanley is not close to ready. He is struggling a lot at AA Portland and I dont see him coming up and taking a proven gold glove, world series champion, all stars spot on the field. He needs to learn 2nd base.
  19. Just an update on Hansen's last game: 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 K
  20. I gotta give Aaron Hill some credit. He has pitched WAY above my expectations. Leiter is showing his true colors. The biggest thing I see is the Yanks starting rotation isn't competitive. Brown, Johnson, Pavano, and Wright appear to be fine with having injuries and taking a break. Schilling was itching to get back into the big leagues and help the team anyway possible. Even Keith Foulke is trying hard to gather his closer role. These guys really want to be in there and help. Pavano doesn't want to be in NY and Johnson could probably care less at this point of his career with how people get on him. Jared Wright would just assume stay on the DL for the year knowing when he comes back he will get crushed. I have no idea why Kevin Brown hasn't retired already.
  21. Remlinger is a sure thing...havent heard about Bottalico yet
  22. last time i got them outside fenway was after the first pitch...only going for $3 over face value
  23. Albert Pujols is a little different. Does he do the juice? Anything is possible at this point but I have to lead toward "no". He doesn't shy away from questions but mostly..its his swing that is so incredible not his strength. Have you watched Albert swing??? You can't strike him out he covers the plate so well. He is all over the pitches and crowds the plate better than anyone in the league. He does have strength but when you hit as many balls and foul as many balls as he does...you are going to do well. .....I think 26 to 6 is right though....he could be 30 years old. Besides Giambi's size...whats with the grease hair
  24. Tom Brady is actually decent for fantasy. I won my league last year with him as my quarterback. He is steady and threw touchdowns almost every week. It also helped that I had Randy Moss and Terrell Owens (strange mix of player personalities there). In all my years of fantasy baseball...Kevin Millar has never been picked...but on a professional level: How do you compare yourself to a god?? shut up Kevin
  25. Damn I thought he would have retired by now. Good veteran to go with some of the young guys. Still a strong leader and reliable but deffinitly getting older so I don't know how much to expect. Now we just need another center. Go get Hossa!
