  1. It was pure comedy is what that was. Especially when it's topped off with the clear corridor to third.
  2. OK y'all have to admit that s*** was funny.
  3. Ooops I forgot to mention that it's also probably not a good idea to take a swing if you need to drop to your knees to try to reach the ball with the bat.
  4. That's right! Give two hits up to the Red Sox, both in the same inning? Get off the mound, boy! lol.
  5. You know your team really sucks when Napoli is the only one who can manage to ring the opposing pitcher's bell.
  6. They need to convert videos of these games to black and white, and change the soundtrack to jumpin' ragtime piano. Like the old Charlie Chaplin and Keystone Cops stuff.
  7. You're missing some terrific "performances" at the plate, too. Somebody needs to tell these guys that if you have to lunge to reach the ball with the bat, or you have to bunnyhop backwards so the ball won't hit your ankles, you probably shouldn't be taking a swing at it.
  8. On paper it looks like another 10-8 loss, eh?
  9. Watch this; they'll score 6 runs in the 9th and leave three runners stranded on the final putout.
  10. The way he fell it could very well be a broken or separated shoulder. The fact that he was walking around immediately afterward does not rule this out; the pain and immobility don't kick until about 5 minutes afterward when the adrenaline starts to wear off.
  11. The way things are going, the Red Sox would probably fare somewhat better if they could take volunteers from the audience for P and DH.
  12. 2 putouts before the opponent manages to score 6 runs. Not bad, not bad.
  13. Give up just one run, lose 1-0. Get 8 runs, lose 10-8. File under "You know your team sucks when..." The bright side is that just one solid player could make a 10-or-more-games difference in the wins column over the course of the season.
  14. Nice to see somebody talking real s*** here. At 10 games out of first as of today, the Red Sox are on pace to be 19 or 20 games out at season's end. That is the real s***.
  15. I'd be saying oh well, I was wrong about that. Same as I was wrong about the Orioles floating to the top of the pack simply by virtue of the fact that they have their s*** somewhat together. I'd still throw a dollar down that the O's have a better chance of finishing first than the Sox do of finishing third or better, though.
  16. Some of us have been saying - since before the season started - that they'll be lucky to finish third in the division. But fanatics on fan forums just don't listen. Even now there are some here who will swear up and down that the Red Sox will finish in first place or a close second.
  17. I for one would rather laugh about how bad the Red Sox are this year than cry about it. It's just baseball.
  18. That's it for tonight, folks. Join us tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 8:10 PM for more Major League Baseball action!
  19. Sorry. You're going to have to stay up for another 12 minutes.
  20. I'm burning incense and shaking a chicken bone so the Red Sox will be able to score two or more runs tonight. I'm getting kind of old, though... my mojo doesn't always work any more.
  21. Well one kid got the opportunity to get his first hit in the majors. So a good day for him, at least.
  22. Nobody saw fit to post a thread. Some fans you are. Game in progress. As expected, no runs scored by the Red Sox' potent offense.
  23. First they've got to work on the old "two hits in the same inning" trick.
