  1. OK, although I hate to waste time talking about Sheffield........ In Milwaukee AND San Diego he "mentioned" he might drop some balls or just not get to them at all, in Florida no one really noticed, in LA he was a constant jackass, in Atlanta he did better because he shut up & Bobby Cox was there & now in NY he gets his chance to be a jackass again. They have too many other fires to put out to worry about Sheffield. They better get this guy under control quick, or he'll be right back on the downward spiral. and take others with him.
  2. I'd say Renteria. This guy is awesome, and will probably get better. I'd take him over Garciaparra (even though I love him) and Cabrera. Wells & Miller are GREAT pickups. Wells for being a big game pitcher with an attitude and a lefty--and Miller's upside is huge. If he doesn't work out--what did we lose? I'm hoping Wells can pitch in Fenway though.
  3. Thanks plump. Gertie, good luck and thanks! ahhchon-why are you winking at me?
  4. Zenny- Thank you. Finally someone picks the Giants in the NL West. Personally I don't like the Giants, but I think they are going to beat up on a bunch of teams. Remember they signed Alou. I know he's old & whatever, but how many pitchers are gonna be happy to walk Bonds & see Alou walking to the plate? Bonds will see more pitches (probably not ALOT more) and Alou's numbers should be pretty big this year. The Rockies aren't going anywhere, D-backs & Padres should be better-but not there yet & the Dodgers.....well who knows what will come out of that mess.
  5. Thanks schill & tex. Here's to a great year!
  6. Thanks element!
  7. Has no one mentioned the fact that Sheets pitches for Milwaukee, which is terrible, and Santana is a Twin? The infield alone made him (Santana) look even better than he is, and better than Sheets. Put Sheets on a team that can score & has a decent infield, and you all would be saying how awesome the guy was instead of just being so-so on him. Santana is great, or had a great year--but I'd take Sheets ahead of Santana.
  8. Thanks yeszir.
  9. You scored as Theo Epstein. Wait a minute, you're not a Red Sox player... you're Theo Epstein! Extremely smart and successful, you work the magic from behind the scenes. You take a lot of risks, but it always works out. You're not too bad on the eyes either!! Jason Varitek 67% Curt Schilling 67% Great quiz......
