  1. "Once the balloon gets popped, it's very difficult to pump it back up again." ~ Bob Boone At least you guys (the ones who are a bit older) should enjoy that one. Definitely applies to the Yankees right now.
  2. Didn't they regain the lead?
  3. Also, once again, a team loses because they misuse their closer.
  4. What's amazing is that they've lost two games because, twice, they threw Guerrero a two strike fastball.
  5. Had a great pitch to hit.
  6. I'm happy with this decision.
  7. Ridiculously lucky. Morales should have been on the line.
  8. I'm surprised they're not sticking with Weaver, considering how good he looked.
  9. I think they can certainly win the World Series. It doesn't mean they don't have significant issues when it comes do decision making.
  10. I agree, but that has nothing to do with the point of the thread.
  11. They lost game three because Mussina went out with an injury, after they led 6-1. The Angels were a great offensive team that postseason. The game was lost when Mussina started giving back the runs and had to leave with an injury. In 2003 the bullpen was always awful. That's not Joe's fault. I admitted his screw-ups in 2004.
  12. There is nothing wrong with the post you responded to. I'm asking Spudboy how many Yankee games he's watching this year, because I'm guessing he's not really in position to comment on the points I made in the initial post.
  13. Lol, Girardi's unprepared. Shocking.
  14. What's the point of having Rivera up if he's not going to face Figgins?
  15. From the neck down they're built to win a championship. How many Yankee games have you watched this year?
  16. Even if they get to the World Series, they're not going to be able to stop the Phillies offense unless they correct these pitch selection issues.
  17. Girardi's decision to go with Burnett for the first two hitters was awful, but the Yankees continue to get killed by poor pitch selection.
  18. I hope you now understand why it was so ridiculous for everyone to call for Torre's head. They win this game with Torre.
  19. This is what Yankee fans get, you included, for wanting Torre gone. He had his regular season problems, but outside of one series, he was excellent in the postseason.
  20. The manager is terrible and they are terrible when it comes to pitch selection. It hurt them during the season, I continually pointed it out, and it has now hurt them in the postseason. They have lost two games this postseason, not because the Angels outplayed them, but because the Yankees are stupid.
  21. For the second time this series the Yankees' get beat because they're the dumber team.
