  1. They just don't get it. All off speed to Abreu in his first AB. First pitch off speed to Abreu in his second AB. And then another off speed pitch gets hit for a RBI single. He's a good hitter, and he's going to sit on the off speed pitch if they refuse to throw him a fastball.
  2. I don't think he gets a big hit tonight. Anyway, in my opinion, the Yankees are making a huge mistake. EDIT: Actually, it looks you said that before the game was called. I apologize for the joke haha.
  3. It's not quite like having two leadoffs hitters back to back when one of the guys has a .345 OBP. However, I agree with you, I would mind if Gardner started in center for game sixth and Melky moved over to right.
  4. Girardi said CC will not pitch game six no matter what. I think he's making a huge mistake.
  5. Well, the Yankees might really catch a break here. It looks like there is a good chance game six won't be played tomorrow. Hopefully this forecast stays true unlike the one for last weekend.
  6. I would take CC, just because Lee really was up and down in the second half, while CC was extremely consistent. It is close though.
  7. If it's Yankees-Phillies, I think it's very unlikely you're going to see Lee vs. Sabathia, unless it goes 7.
  8. What call are you referring to?
  9. Worst Yankee loss since 2004 ALCS Game 5. This one stung.
  10. I agree, but if Posada really believed in the breaking ball, he should have went out to the mound.
  11. The blame is on Hughes for shaking off Posada, and Posada for not going out to the mound to present his case.
  12. If I'm the Yankees, I want to avoid this series going to seven games at all costs. If the Angels take game six, they are going to have so much going for them that I'm not even sure how much of an advantage it would be to have CC on the mound for game seven. Obviously I would rather have him over anyone else, but I think it's extremely important for the Yankees to avoid a game seven. Also, with the way Hughes and Joba have looked, it might be important to have CC available for both games (one as a starter, and one to pitch to at least a couple batters late). The only way you can do that is if he starts game six.
  13. a700, out of anyone, you've got to appreciate the Bob Boone quote.
  14. That is going to be extremely difficult.
  15. Haha nope. I wasn't alive when Bob Boone said that.
