This whole 'Yankees' Class' thing is stupid, something that is perpetuated by parts of the fan-base who want to view their favorite team as above all others. Every large fan-base of a team that consistently wins has this group of fans (although not all of them take the 'class' route).
Additionally, 26-6, I don't think the proper tact here is to defend the Yankees by pointing out what Red Sox's players do. It's an unnecessary comparison, and only makes you come across as too defensive.
With that being said, I would like to respond to a couple of db41's points.
First, I think your two criticisms of Derek Jeter are a bit off base. No matter how he feels personally about A-Rod, or any of the steroid users that have played for the Yankees, it would be a disservice to the entire organization if Jeter spoke out publicly against them. There is a distinct possibility that it could create a clubhouse rift that would significantly impair the team moving forward. Those are in-house issues, not ones you that you go to the media with.
Second, when you talk about the Yankees' mound visits, I think you're referring more to games 3, 4, and 5 of the World Series last year than anything else. Besides those games, the Yankees really don't hold defensive meetings on the mound much more than any other teams. As for the World Series, they clearly thought the Phillies were stealing signs, judging by the fact that they were going with series signs when no one was on base. With that being the case, in the World Series, I don't think you can blame them for taking extra precautions.
