  1. There has to come a point where Teixeira is dropped from the three spot in the lineup.
  2. Fangraphs has an interesting and progressive take on the situation (which was also the first thing I mentioned when it happened). http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/galarragas-loss-could-be-our-gain/
  3. There's a sentiment around here that these umpires miss calls because they go for the theatrical, game changing call, while throwing accuracy out the window. This may or may not happen, but it certainly wasn't the case in this instance. Joyce was devastated, even going into the clubhouse to apologize to Galarraga. I feel equally bad for both Joyce and Galarraga.
  4. And to think people still argue against replay...
  5. Worst Yankees' team at making productive outs I have ever seen.
  6. I've never seen a worse Yankees' team at getting runners in from third base with less than two outs. Thames is a horrendous situational hitter. EDIT: I don't know the numbers, but this is as bad as it gets. They fail at this so often, it's unbelievable.
  7. Not watching, but according to Gameday Gonzalez is really getting squeezed, especially against Hall.
  8. Haha, well, I'd be hoping!
  9. And that's 26 1/3 consecutive scoreless innings.
  10. Ubaldo Jimenez is very fun to watch pitch.
  11. Joe has left him out there way too long.
  12. Jacko, I've got a question. Why start Murphy in Charleston, but hold off Heathcott for short season Staten Island?
  13. I'm not doctor, but it wasn't an injury that occurred while running (it tightened up after he got hit by a pitch there), so I'd imagine that it's not that serious. Additionally, he never went into the clubhouse, and was standing up on the dugout railing the entire time.
  14. I'd really like to see Joba pitch the ninth.
  15. Cervelli is one of the few guys on this team that I trust to make a productive out. He seems very good at just bearing down, making contact, and getting that run in.
  16. Nice to see the offense finally return.
  17. I'm pretty sure this Yankees' team is incapable of making a productive out.
  18. The Yankees need to fix their bullpen problem, and fast. It's one thing to be blowing one or two run leads, but it has gotten to the point where no lead is safe with this pen.
  19. Well, no matter what happened in the past, the Yankees aren't the same team as they were last year without a solid setup man (and a solid bullpen as a whole). With Joba ineffective, Robertson ineffective (and now hurt), and Aceves hurt, they're a long way from being in the position that they were in last year.
