  1. Any time a stolen base threat reaches against the Yankees, Teixeira might as well play behind the guy. These pitchers hardly even try to hold runners on.
  2. Really surprised by the amount of missed PKs so far this tournament.
  3. Great inning. Finally.
  4. Really big batter in the game here.
  5. I really appreciate how Curtis always runs hard, even on the most routine plays.
  6. Agreed. Hell of a play by A-Gon though.
  7. Can someone finally get a big hit? EDIT: Just an awful read by Brett.
  8. I don't have the numbers, and I'm not even sure they exist, but no one on this team can hit a changeup. It's the reason why I didn't think they would hit Cecil yesterday, and why I don't think they'll hit Romero today. Two runs is all the Jays are going to need.
  9. This team would probably be better off facing Stephen Strasburg than Ricky Romero.
  10. Well, with this offense, that's probably the ball game, especially against a guy like Romero, the perfect pitcher to dominate the Yankees.
  11. Such a cheapie, but a big home run by A-Rod.
  12. Posada and Girardi are just awful. EDIT: However, it should be mentioned that this team can't hit.
  13. Pretty disappointing to see the poor Mariners' offense scoring this many runs against the Yankees. EDIT: That was a soft run, but it's pretty clear that for the second outing in a row Javy doesn't have his best stuff. The Yankees' pitching has consistently picked up the inconsistent offense, but if guys like Hughes and Vazquez struggle, they could be in trouble.
  14. Forgot to mention this last night, but I'm really pleased with David Robertson's progress. It's time for him to retake his old role in the bullpen.
  15. As much as I complain about Girardi, I certainly don't miss Torre's in game decisions. Asking Broxton to get four outs yesterday in a five run game, and bringing in Garrett Anderson for defense in place of Manny are just absolutely brutal moves.
  16. Excellent win. On a side note, I'm surprised to see a Joe Torre managed team this out of control.
