  1. A-Rod is still one Sheffield has now moved to number two. I really don't think Jeter is that high.
  2. 1. Bostonfan34 you're an idiot of all the inteernet lies I have heard, that is by far the funniest one I have ever heard, if you played AA ball you would not be here 2. Sheffield is an idiot, this is what I wanna see. I want David Ortiz on the top step every time A-Rod is up. A-Rod will get beaned intentionally, Sheffield like the steriod riddled idiot that he is will charge out of the dugout David Ortiz seieng this will charge from the top step meet Sheffield half way and pile drive his ass into the ground.
  3. Typical ignorant average fan, the guy was called up for the first time you expect him to start hitting .300 against majors pitching? For all we know the guy could hit .350 in a season.
  4. He was with the O's last year and had a pretty decent season what did happen to him?
  5. Notice Varitek wasn't one of the list of people A-Rod is cool with. If my memory serves me right Sheffoids got plunked by Petey last year in that game with Jeter and the diving catch and didn't do jack s*** about it. Sheffield is all bark and no bite.
  6. Redneck from the northern most state hmmmmm.
  7. I don't like the idea I still say we need him as a starter but if he doesn't have the stamina then he might as well help the team somehow. My only problem is how will he be able to get that stamina back up again as a reliever? Normal starters who have problems with stamina jsut throw during off days and gradually increse the ammount of pitches they throw untill they are as high as they can physically go. WIth Schilling being a reliever he can't have these side sessions because he made need to come up and close the game that night, plus if he throws 2 days in a row we can't make him throw a side session or we'll kill his arm. Unless there is something I'm missing here, this seems like an all or nothing move. All being great closer nothing being pretty much done for season.
  8. I think YANKEESRULE should be banned based on that comment alone.
  9. f*** Palmiero f*** him. Great for fantasy points but f*** him.
  10. Tejada owns everyone. I found myself happy with him jsut getting a single yesterday. Todays game is the largest crowd ever in Camden? God I'd figure Cal Ripkens record game, or some playoff games would bust that.
  11. Assuming the Red Sox have the lead or are only a few games back on the back stretch they will win the East the bulk of thier games are at Fenway where they are dominant. The Guardians will win the Wild Card, the Yankees are done. ARod2212 go away no one wants you here.
  12. I actually am a big fan of Bradford have been since the 2003 post season.
  13. Wagner, we need a closer.
  14. Whatever. Paytons an idiot I hope they trade him to KC, see how he likes it there. Hey now the Yankees can't get Kotsay thank god.
  15. Sac fly by Travis Hafner off RJ Cle- 3 NYY- 3
  16. I'll make a post for ya Hater. I'm gonna call Damons hitting streak ends today, he has looked so bad in his first two at bats.
  17. I beg to differ. A first basman can cost you lots of runs. Example: How many times have you seen a shot donw the right field line, Millar his bellyflop dive in vain to try and catch it, a guy rolls into second in scoring positon and you sit there thinking damn Olderdude would have got that. How many times have you seen someone need to rush a throw from the left side of the infield and instead of doing the right thing and coming off the bag and trying to do a swipe tag, acrobat Millar thinks he can stretch enough to get the ball and stays on the bag. The ball goes by him ends up in the stands a guy once again rolls into second base in scoring position. How many times have we seen a weak nubber on the infield grass that the first baseman plays, the runner is sprinting down the first baseline the pitcher running to the bag to cover. The natural play is to flip to the pitcher, but Millar in his constant state of being stupid, tries to make a dive tag at the runner, misses and a guy is now on base. The first baseman plays a key role in the defensive part of the game and Millar playing there is a constant liability on the field which is why Olerude should play as often as he can. Not to mention Millar can't hit either.
  18. I know we HAVE stolen bases we just don't do it very often, we don't have that guy who can consistantly steal a base or two.
  19. Stern is a f***ing speed demon. I mean a Red Sox player legitly stole a base, who wasn't Johnny Damon.
  20. Two words Hallady and Lilly.
  21. Ortiz CAN hit the other way he jsut generally does not do it.
  22. Everyone forgets by looking at his bat how great he was with the glove.
  23. He is good but hey, we've got Alex Cora!!! Who needs a backup who hits .280?
  24. I would give them Embree maybe Shippach, and (insert other prospect)?
  25. This is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
