This is true a lot of the newbies jump on 26-6 for the sake of jumping because of his user name and sig, but his is actually very capable of having good insightful baseball conversation.

Wow this puts the O's out of the Burnett race, which virtually kills thier chance at getting any pitching. Unless they can pull Jason Schmidt out of thier ass, but we all know that isn't happening. Why they pulled out of the Burnett deal I can't understand. They were the front runners to get him, and give them that starter they need to really make them a strong contender, if not the favorite,m to win the East. Now they have no chance at getting strong pitcher that would make a huge impact, and on top of it, it puts their dvision rival the Red Sox, in the hunt with one other team to get that very same pitcher. Sometimes I really wonder what goes through a GM's head when he pulls the trigger on deals like this.

The only thing I really like about Tony G over Bellhorn, because Bellhorn does get on base, is that Tony G puts the ball in play more often than not, which Bellhorn had trouble with.

If we trade for Burnett and Schilling coes back we have one of the best rotations out there. Schilling, Clement, Wells, Burnett, and Wakefield/Miller. That's just disgusting.

I actually heard about that Theo is so confident that he can sign him that they will waive that 72 hour period. Either that or Theo knows he has no chance of signing him and just wants to get him on the team. I would be fine with trading Arroyo so long as they know they can extend him.

Can't wait too long or other teams can get in the mix. This is a great trade for the Sox we need to pull the trigger.

My Uncle actually used to own a box seat right next to Stienbrieners and they are good but you don't really feel like your at a ball gam, If you want to go to the game I would reccomend just buying tickets if you can find them.

Why is every body suddenly hating on Clement, people the guy was an ALL STAR this shouldn't even be up for discussion, if you don't believe that look at the numbers Clement - 10-3, 4.30 ERA, 106 K's, 1.32 WHIP Wells - 8-5, 4.59 ERA, 58 K's , 1.24 WHIP (His record SUCKS considering he gets more than 7 runs of support per game on average, #1 in the AL) Wakefield - 8-8, 4.12 ERA, 76 K's, 1.34 WHIP The way I judge a pitcher is who gives his team the best chance to win Clement is clearly the guy who has done this the most out of any pitcher we have, ala last night.

As much as it pains me to say it after careful thought I believe that the Red Soxx should consider building a new Fenway Park. I was thinking about my first trip and only trip to Yankee and remembered just how loud it got, and how it never ever even comes close to how loud it was then at Fenway. That in itself shows the huge difference btween the ammount of seats at Fenway and the ammount of seats at Yankee Stadium, which in turn, shows the huge differential in revenue. In making a new Fenway we could keep the great fetures of the park, The Monster with old hand operated score board for example and get rid of the problems like obstructed view seats. Teams in this modern era are grabbing a lot of money out of ticket revenue and The Red Sox in the future could fall behind other teams. By adding more seats, the Red Sox could increaseticket revenu by 50 to 75 to even 100% and at the same time lower ticket prices so all fans can afford to go to games. I love Fenway as much as any other fan, and like all of you, I've been going to Fenway for as long as I've lived, but I believe that it is in the best interest of the team to build a new Fenway (so long as the name stays Fenway).

Prove it. Not only will I say he won't get one this year, he won't get one in the next 5 years either. The Yankees have crippled themselves with bloated contracts that last too many years. They can't go out and trade for anyone without selling thier farm system. I can't say what the Yankees will do beyond 5 years from now, but I would bet the house they wont win one in 5 years.

This deal is brilliant, we unload Mueller who won't resign, we get the SP that we need, we get bullpen help. If there is any truth to this Theo needs to pull the trigger.

You're joking me right? We're set to play the best team in baseball with the probable AL Cy Young on the hill tonight, and then a 14 game winner two days later. Call me a pessimist but I think the best we can hope for is a split by jumping on the two weaker pitchers. I was kind of hoping we would change around the rotation so Clement could face a weaker pitcher increasing our cahnce to win.

Lowellis in no way done, he's having an off year I'm all for taking him (and his contract) on.
