  1. Ok as bad as Embree has been Vazquez is clearly the Cesar Creaspo of 2005. Call up some other infielder (Pedroia?) or someone but this guy is the worst player on the team.
  2. Ok we're not getting rid of Foulke so everyone should just rule that out. Whoever said Myers should be the closer better have been kidding. Foulke proved last year and in his years in Oakland he can be a dominant closer. Pitchers don't just suddenly turn s***** the way he has, something has to be wrong. Whats wrong? I don't know it could be mechanics, it could be an injury, it could be a million things but something is wrong with him wether the Red Sox are aware of whatever it is or not. I say move Foulke down into the setup man position and move Timlin, who has been by far the best bull pen pitcher, up to the closer role. Moving Foulke down to the set up role would take away the pressure of closing out games and give him more time to fix whatever the hell is wrong with him under the radar. Joe, you're a f***ing idiot, go away.
  3. What the hell the first base umpire has one job with a guy on first to watch pickoffs and he misses 2 times on the same guy.
  4. I would like it depending on what they ask for him.
  5. because.... be f***ing cause. Is it really that hard?.... Anyways we don't need AJ but I would like to see the Sox try to get Fuentes from the Rockies.
  6. Posada is so far from a tough guy it's not even funny. I watch almost every Yankee game as I'm sure you do... please tell me the last time you've seen Posada block the plate? Can't remember? That's because he never does ever since he got railed in the minors he refuses to block the plate... Yeah thats a tough guy put yourself over the team Posada.
  7. Everything is not there that's the problem on paper they look good but in reality they are not. Example we look on paper at Bernie and say that looks good, but in reality he's over the hill. Thier rotation has been battered around all year. People say deep pockets go far, only in the off season who are they going to trade? Giambi? Not even if they eat 80% of that contract. Trade Wang and Duncan for Kotsay? Fine trade thier future for a sub par to barely par hitter with good defense for a half a year I'm perfectly fine with that. The Yankees are done, cooked, roasted. I said 86 wins in the first week of the season and I stand by that.
  8. She's not a Red Sox fan... at least not a sane one... No Sox fan in his/her right mind would have a picture of a Yankee as thier avatar.
  9. What a dumb statement. Yes had they not called him out it would have helped his team, thats what cheating is, it helps your team win that doesn't make it not cheating he still broke the rules. he couldn't have knocked Arroyo on his ass because Arroyo was just trying to tag him from his side. Had he tried to bowl over Arroyo he would have been called out for running out of baseline. You don't care that he tried to do it jsut how he reacted? That's an even dumber statement. A-Rod a member of the New York Yankees blatantly tried to cheat by doing probably what is one of the bitchiest moves I have ever seen in my entire life. That is a blemish on him, his team, and the enrie Organization. He should try to help his team by cheating? No what a real man does is accept that he has been defeated taken the out and sit on the bench where he should be.
  10. I say keep Bellhorn in the 2 and slide Edgar down to the 5. Edgar doesn't need Ortiz behind him he'll hit anyways and Bellhorn clearly excells in the 2 hole.
  11. Who the hell are you Mother Teresa?
  12. Randys slider has not been breaking it's far from a definite win.
  13. Actually I've never been to Philadelphia but ok, and don't hate Sox fans for taking up seats beecause no one in Philadelphia wants to go. Will some Mod ban this moron please.
  14. First off Yankees have the oldest average second of all the Yankees won't come back they don't have the pitching. RJ is good but hasn't been great, Mussina is good but definitly not great, Pavano sucks, Wright if he ever comes back sucks, Wang is too young and will burn out in the second half, and please god do not get me started on Kevin Brown. Thier bats aren't all that great either. They have greta guys oat the top Jeter, A-rod, Sheff and half of the time Matsui, outside of that they struggle hitting, Giambi please, Posada been sucking all year, Canoe far too young he shouldn't be expected to hit, don't get me started on Womack, and Bernie is over the hill The Defense isnat all that great either I shouldn't even have to explain just look at the plays Bernie Williams and Sheffield have screwed up outside of Jeter and A-Rod they have no gloves. The Bullen is OK at best the only really strong part of the bullpen is Mariano. Tom Gordon has been good but proved last year he can't make it through the end of the season and will burn out in September. Quantrill sucks hes a Middle relief guy he's supposed to be able to not let ingerited guys score, last year he led the Majors in most inherited runners scored against. Sturtze has been good but is unreliable, Procter is terrible, Groom hads been ok but is old so I really don't see him lasting the season he also can't get righties out. Stanton is terrible Bottom line looking at the Yankees entire team they are just not that good and like I've said 100 times before I see them winning 86 games this season and missing the playoffs.
  15. People hype up the game too much it's a fraud with the voting anyways... did anyone else hear LaRussa wants to win because he believes... get this... The Cardinals would have won the World Series last year had they started in St. Louis instead of Boston. They didn't even lead the entire series, they were totaly dismantled I highly doubt where they played would have made a difference.
  16. I don't think Mueller will resogn because I don't think the Sox will even pursue him.
  17. Phillies owned.... Eagles owned.... Philadelphia owned by Boston.... You are retarded... nuff said
  18. Yeah the Yankees are unbelieveanly classy... two players who have been uncovered as steroid users... A-Rod slapping the ball out of Arroyos and then acting like he did nothing theres respect for the game... The Yankees are as classy as Russell Crowe with a telephone.
  19. It's not that you're not welcome here it's when you come here and pull bull s*** like posting 7 times in a row each with a blown up picture of Tino Martinez or another Yankee. You've done it but you have also contributed good insightful talk as well so I don't mind you so much. But the people who do nothing but post pictures and type a whole bunch of ******** are the people who aren't welcome, and 99% of those people on this board are yankee fans (ClementRulez and Beantown33 make up the other 1 %). SO excuse us for being pissed off at Yankee fans but normal ones who come here are rare.
  20. What moron voted that they would win the East?
  21. Confusing but O.K. Have I ever told you how funny I find your avatar?
  22. I like having Olerud off the bench good consistant bat when needed great pinch hitter plus I don't think he has the legs to play every day, I like our outfield as is with Payton platooning with Trot. I love Mueller but I would love to see Youk play every day because the guy hits the ball hard plus it gets him more big league expierience.
  23. If I remember correctly Sturtze grabbed Kapler from behind by his throat, damn right they double teamed him. Ortiz didn't land a punch Papa Jack got in his way if he had Ortiz probably would have broken bones.
  24. Better than Pierre maybe probably better than Ichiro, hell no. Once Ichiro picks it up again he will pass Damon in Average and OBP he also steals bases something Damon does not do. I personally believe Ichiro is the bast all around player in the game.
  25. I live in the Connecticut I get both NESN and YES, thinking with a compleatly unbiased point of view on the ammount of times I smack my head and say "that was one of the dumbest things I've ever heard" NESN is a lot better than Yes. Kay is the dumbest person alive ok radio show terrible announcer, Katt is pretty good for pitching analysis outside of that he's pretty much useless plus he's a little too old school. SIngleton I think you give wayyyyy too much credit I've never liked him. O'Nieill I actually like a lot, Bobby Murcer is well jsut average at best. Overall NESN > YES..... I have the top 3 announcers that I really truely hate, #3 Joe Buck #2 Mike Kay and #1.... lets jsut say given the choice to end alll war on earth and strangle Tim McCarver with my bare hands, I would strangle McCarver.
