  1. Can we have like a cage fight between these two, winner takes avatar, because it's really confusing. Anyways arguements about that there is no integrity of the game. Lowering the mound - needed to be done DH- One of the best thing that has happened to baseball, great for people like Ortiz who dont have a glove, and sluggers getting on in age Strikezone- Is good how it is now Juiced balls- Prove it Steroids- all in the players control replay is an actual desicion that baseball controls, baseball can not control what it's players do I believe that the game does not need replay and that the integrity is important, call me a purist, call me whatever but it is important.
  2. I'm fine with that, but go be happy where you won't be insulting everyone.
  3. That was shoert lived... bitch. Seriously I love how Yankee fans start threads like this and then call us classless for bashing the s*** out of them. And then when everyone tries to get them banned, "but but but I didn't do anything". *******s
  4. One problem, WHO IN THIER RIGHT MIND WOULD GIVE UP ANYTHING FOR EMBREE?! I see Embree going somewhere as a FA, if it's the Yankees, then by god it must be Christmas.
  5. The A's won't make the playoffs this year, and the only reaosn he won before was because of the "Big 3" of Hudson, Mulder, and Zito. Anyone could win with those pitchers, anyone. The Moneyball crap, it jsut is ovewrhyped because the team won, and in reality the team won because of the big 3.
  6. Really? And by club dynamics you mean refusing to play seond base for MOST LIKELY NO MORE THAN ONE INNING, and by doing so decreasing your teams chance to win. Personally I don't mind this trade because I don't see the Sox re-signing him at the end of the year. Mueller will probably want a 3 year deal, he's a third baseman, getting on in age, with bad knees, that is not a combination that I want on my team for the next three years. We have a perfectly fine replacement in Youks and our bullpen definitly needs the help, I think the trade is a good idea. I trust in Theo and his moves. And anyone who tries to argue that the Kim deal was a bust should be reminded, that Kim was a HUGE part in getting the Sox into the playoffs in 2003, ending the whole "who's the closer?" issue.
  7. The Pats should get a 6 year grace period but I watched the absoloutly suck for too many years to give them that. I see this dynasty as making up for all the sucking they did pre Kraft / Parcells. A fourth ring this year would change that though.
  8. MLB says it's a done deal, and Gammons says that there is no truth to it at all I don't know who to believe.
  9. It's too bad I hope they never tear Fenway down.
  10. So many insults flying through my mind. Can't pick one. Wow
  11. Interesting, it's almost like the guy looks to walk after the count hits two balls which could explain why he has so many LOOKING K's.
  12. Nooooooo he's only making 19 million dollars a year. Now Mark Bellorn, that guy should be hiting .300.
  13. After what I say yesterday Gonzalez deserves to stay, Youk needs to get more at bats.
  14. With a lefty starter Millar over Nixion may very well be the best possible lineup. Nixion could probably have hit lefties had they started him more often against the when he was younger, but he has in essence, been groomed not to hit lefties. It's too late in his career to try and start to break him back into hitting lefties.
  15. Just ban him and put him out of his misery, did anyone else get an angry PM from this kid?
  16. The report is that the deal has been made they are just waiting to announce it, why is anyones guess. Maybe they are waiting for the Yankee series to be over? Who knows?
  17. True Nixons average is a little higher but it's also in a signifigantly less ammount of at bats.
  18. Some one shoot me now.
  19. What are you 10 years old? 11 maybe? This guy is Clement Rulez II some one ban him before it gets out of hand.
  20. SOME and YOU, god damn newbies. Olerudes only 36 he just declined quickly. Millar does not make great plays, he makes plays appear great that most normal first basemen make with ease.
  21. Biased opinion. Anyways I agree with taking Trot out of the lineup when lefties are pitching, just look at his career numbers against lefties. It's not like Millar damaged us in any way today.
  22. We should have started giving Youk spot starts at first to get the Kentucky Fried King out of the lineup. Though as much as I bash the guy he is hitting .273 which isn't bad judging that we're paying him beans.
  23. Well Moneyball does say steal so long as you have a success rate of 85% or some high numberlike that. Damon and Reneria have achieved that, but if they tried to steal more consistantly they probably wouldn't so I don't know if we should be stealing that often. Also the only two guys that we have who could probably steal bases are Damon and Renteria, and we shouldn't be running into outs with Ortiz and Manny on deck and in the hole.
  24. I still say Pedroia should get the nod to come up. He at least has some AAA at bats, I don't care if we need to bump someone off the 40 man.
  25. On a Yankee forum, nyyfans.com, that there was a report on ESPNEWS that the Marlins and Red Sox have agreed in principle to a deal to trade AJ Burnett to the Sox for Shoppacch, Arroyo, and another prospect. I didn't see it so I personally can't vouch for that but did anyone else see this or has anyone else heard this rumor?
