    Oh he's still going to be in the rotation filling in for Wakefield / Wells (suspension) but as far as keeping him in the rotation long term, no way.

    In the past yes and if we were the Cardinals and were already a lock for the division, I would give him a chance. We are 4 games up on the Yankees and cannot afford to "give the guy a chance" down the stretch.

    I really don't think Miller is a factor in this one, the rotation should be 1.Schill 2.Wells 3.Clement 4.Wake 5.Arroyo There's no room for Papelbon, plus I tihnk he would be very very useful as a reliever his fastabll is superb the greatest thing a reliever can have, and when his splitter is going it works great as an out pitch, I think he could do well as the closer.

    Acuually UCONN generally has a few good guys who care about school, Emeka Okafor graduated after only 3 years of school with like a 3.4 GPA. Josh "Babyface" Boone is on the same plan, they get a few idiots like Marcus but they normally do pretty well as far as graduation goes.

    I hope the Red Sox never become that bad, they probably won't because baseball has no salary cap, but anything can happen.

    Why do all these people doubt Damon is on 'roids? It honestly wouldn't shock me. All steroid users aren't always those big muscle heads who have 80 inch arms. You can hire a trainer to give you a specific ammount at specific times and it will jsut make you faster and stronger without the huge gain in body mass. For example Olympic sprinters. Damon is a truck and would not shock me at all if he did it.

    I wached him it was disgusting the catcher put up his glove and the ball went right to it, catcher never had to move it.

    If he pitchs like he did in his last appearance he should be fine in the rotation. Wade Miller is not coming back, nor should he, he has been a bust this year.

    Why not make Papelbon the closer untill Foulke comes back? He was very impressive as a starter VERY impressive in the first inning of his starts. He has the prototype fastball that closers have 95 MPH with a late explosion, we should at least give him a try.

    Did you see his last apperance against the Angels. His fastball was consistantly at 93-94 and his split worked as good as I have ever seen it. He faced 6 batters 6 retired and struck out 4. His velocity was fine, he is ready. This game is aagainst the Royals it's the same as a minor league rehab start + Mike Sweeny.

    I don't know what goes through Terry's mind when he calls the bullpen, he really makes some bad descisions with them.

    Your name is 26-6 on a Red Sox discussion forum. I could only imagine what you would say/do at Fenway. Anyways my expieriences at Yankee Stadium have been good, I went to the game where Jeter dove into the stands, Manny 2 HR's etc. etc. It got intense toward the end but all in all it was good, don't wea Yankees Suck aything, Red Sox hat and shirt are fine.

    Renteria's error did not cost us the game yesterday and I can not remember when any of his errors have cost us games. People's gloves don't jsut get crappy over one off season, he's just having an off season, it happens to everyone. Expect his next 3 years with Sox to be much better as far as the glove goes.

    It wasn't strange, the guy went on contact, the ball was hit hard, he threw home. If he made a good throw he was out.
