  1. Mueller is probably gone next year, Youks will most likely be the starter at third, at second I would liek to see them sign a backup but give Pedroia the start. At first, I have no clue I owuld rather see Konerko, but Huff seems like more of a Theo guy. Short will be Renteria.
  2. I've said it a million times, with Damons numbers he is cashing in and it won't be with the Sox. I see the Yankees giving Pierre 15 Million dollars more than he deserves and 2 more years than he should have, so I think he might be out of the picture too. I like Baldelli but the last thing I want ot see is him collapsing in center field at Fenway clutching his knee. I'm sure Theo will find one of htos unknown OBP machines that he allways does. Bototm line I trust in Theo.
  3. Guybo, Renteria plays SHORTSTOP, Millar plays first. Any player in the majors can play first base if needed, it takes a special breed to play short.
  4. He has no stick but he is very good defensively. He doesn't get near enough credit catching a knuckleballer.
  5. Dream on snb there's no way the Yankees make the post season. I know thats hard for you Yankee fans to comprehend but it is possible for the Yankees not to make the post season.
  6. Thank you Chin Music you can't eexpet a player to perform the way he did in the previous yea, you hav to look at total career numbers.
  7. Really? Shows how much I follow the players life outside of baseball. I just saw the Queer Eye For the Stright Guy and noticed Millar was the only one who didn't have a wife.
  8. The City of New York actually forced him to move up a grade after they found this stuff out so he was either lieing and is now playing with kids his age or telling the truth and is now playing with kids older than him. Either way it sounds like he's doing well.
  9. A frigging Yankee fan was 2 rows away from me when I was on the Green Monster. I was pissed off enough at that, if a Yankee fan threw out the first pitch Red Sox nation would be outraged, not to mention the Yankee fan would probably get killed.
  10. Dude 114 pitches is ALOT, at least for the pitchers in todays game (Luis Tiant:163) you can't risk blowing a guys arm over one game.
  11. I firmly believe the Gods conspire against Pedro so he will never throw a perfect game/no hitter. Remember when he threw a perfect game through 9 in Monteral the lost it in the 10th?
  12. He's the back up. Why does everyone expect him to hit like .300?
  13. Some idiot on the radio today was saying Stern was going to get sent down for someone else to get called up. STERN CAN'T GET SENT DOWN. He's a rule 5 pick up, if we don't keep him up with the club he goes back to the Braves or where ever we got him from. How can you host a radio show and not know simple rules like that.
  14. The clubhouse doen't need Millar they are all lose as hell anyways. Millar just adds homosexuality. And you can not tell me that man is not gay, any man who plays major league baseball for more than 3 years and can not get AT LEAST a trophy wife must be gay.
  15. I would love to see Millar play catcher one game after we clinch the division this year.
  16. It is a cool tradition. even when the Sox are losing that allways seems to brighten up the mood.
  17. Which is exactly why you're an idiot, lets sit down argueably the best right handed hitter in the game, because he get's thrown out somewhere, brilliant. This is not a movie, you can't bench someone and all of the sudden he and the rest of the team becomes inspired and they go on an 18 game win streak while being the best base running team in baseball. It doesn't work that way. The only thing we would be acomplishing by sitting Manny down is hurting our line up.
  18. Ha ha only two, and I was the second one to shoot this one down not the first.
  19. Also he's only hitting .311 in the second half. Yeah he sucks.
  20. Konerko= too expensive for Theo. Millar is going to end up staying the FO loves him. Mueller is all about wether or or not another team is willing to offer him mor eyears. I'm still going to stick by my boy Remlinger.
  21. Remlingers BAA for right handed hitters: .333 Remlingers BAA for left handed hitters: .229 He could be useful as a righty specialist who comes out for one or two batters tops. The equivalent of a Mike Myers for rightys. All I'm saying is everyone is too quick to say "get rid of him" when he could be a very usefull arm down the stretch and in the post season.
  22. I would actually rather have Jermi Gonzalez start this game. I really want Pap to be getting ready for the pen.
  23. yankeessuck, do you not find it odd that 25 of the 43 posts in this thread are by you?
  24. We don't need him in the bigs yet, we have Myers as a lefty specialist. He could get messed up in the head if he gets killed and we may jsut be burning out another prospect. People are too quick to throw Remlinger under the bus. What people don't realize is he may be a lefty but he has a negative split. It's actually right handed hitters he can get out easily and has a hard time getting out lefties. Francona being brain dead as far as the bullpen goes leaves him in for 7 batters, so naturally he get's killed.
  25. That's pretty cool, the second best closer ever deserves it.
