Ok, well on Wednesday, the 23rd, I was at the Spring Training game against the Reds. Sean Casey and Adam Dunn are beasts. DO almost cleared that 40 foot tall tarp in straight away center, 410 ft.
Anyway, that is irrelevant. While I was there drooling at the nice seats we had, my friend's dad recognized the man sitting next to us, but couldn't quite put a name to it. He had a huge world series ring on, and so we asked him about it. He said it was from the '70s, and my friend's dad immediately recognized the figure as a Yankee. Yep, a member from the '76 Yankees that went by the name...
*drum roll*
Jim Beady---so I was wondering:
Because 1976 was a good 14 years before I was born---->does anyone who was around back then know anything about him off the top of their heads? I know there is something called "google," but I am too lazy to use it. Anyone got anything interesting about him? If so, it would be cool to hear it. And another thing, we also met an agent, I forget his name, but he was an agent for many famous, famous Red Sox...one being Carlton Fisk.
I gotta tell ya, you never know what you can find at games in the Spring.
I also went to the game on Thursday against the Orioles, and I gotta tell ya, Sosa looked EXCELLENT. Solid contact everytime...he's gunna have a good year. Even the outs that he recorded were smashed to all areas of the deep outfield.
So that's my spring training story----now back to the point:
Any information on Jim Beady? And also anyone know the name of Carlton Fisk's agent? (I see his face but can't remember the damn name.)
