    Don't know how many people have heard of him, but he is probably the best high school running back in the country. He's not even a senior yet, meaning he has 1 more year of high school football left. This kid is absolutely electric.     2004 was the most controversial Bowl year ever. I still believe 2004 USC was better than 2004 LSU.

    He plays for Belmont Hill, a very good athletic private school in Belmont, MA. He's unbelievable. He has blazing speed, good hands, good discipline, he's a good fit for Notre Dame. My school has played his in football (we are HUGE rivals), and we played at BC's Alumni Stadium this year against them. Basically, if it weren't for Gallup, they lose that game. The kid is electric, and Notre Dame is very lucky to have him. 4 year scholarship for football, well deserved too. In high school, he alters between tail back and wide receiver, but really, if he's in the backfield, they run the ball, and if he's a receiver, they throw it. The kid's nasty, if I were a Notre Dame fan I'd be pretty excited.

    To me, the 2 that stick out most are Sherman and Mariucci. Of course, the Pats hopefully won't have to worry about a coach for a long, long time.

    Or, on the contrary, you could look at Green Bay and Samkon Gado. We all know that GB offensive line blew anyway. But yeah, as a member of an offensive line, I can safely say that it's the most unappreciated, yet most vital part of the team on the field. The honest truth is the linemen have to be the second smartest people on the field, behind the QB, with all the blocking assignments and reading LB blitzes, along with D-line formation shifts, etc etc. True, Tatum Bell/Mike Anderson aren't exactly great RB's, but it's not like they're bad either. Ball protection is the most crucial part of being a RB, not to mention Tatum Bell has some ridiculous speed. The bottom line is, ANY type of running back (all-star, decent, sucky) can charge through any given hole produced by the line. When's the line finally going to earn some respect. The o-line also has some incredibly large contracts ($$ wise). :thumbsup:

    Right, but it's not like Dom Capers was blessed with a talented team. It comes to the point where the players finally just have to perform to what the coach's gameplan is. Look at USC...I bet my high school football coach could win a few championships there with all the talent he'd be blessed with.

    It's hard to believe that they wouldn't, although it is a possibility. I haven't seen/heard anything about that aspect of the deal though.

    If I'm the Red Sox, I don't add Clement in that deal. Manny for Tejada straight up is enough. Keep Manny, and trade Clement elsewhere in a package with some other players/prospects to fill CF, SS and maybe more pitching.

    Trading for Izturis was discussed in another thread, I forget which one though... There was plenty of interest among the posters though. I, for one, would welcome him with open arms. I'll take a defensive upgrade over Renteria for a dip in the offensive production.

    Because teams from Baltimore, Anaheim, Oakland, etc NEVER rubbed their successes in our faces. NEVER. All we heard from you guys was "1918" or "26" etc.. So finally, while you watched us go through NY and on to win the World Series, it was sweet.

    That was my point. It was sweet to go through NY because we had nothing. Instead, we put up with Yankees fans rubbing their 26 world championships s*** in our faces. And FINALLY, when we have our moment of glory, it was nice. But thanks for proving my point.
