  1. Everett, huh? They have a pretty damn good football program over there in Everett.
  2. Well, Kazmir does that to them every time. But yes, it will be good to see how some solid pitchers and an ace fare against our lineup.
  3. Hey, who knows? Our offense still needs to break out, who better to do it against then Halladay? Besides, he's been hurt the past couple years. As dominant as he is, I still think the Sox can go out there and put up some runs. DiNardo could give us a fine performance and we could be in fine shape. The good thing about the trips to Toronto now, is that these games will finally be fun to watch with some big names up there.

  5. No. It's: You're right. Is that better for you, English teacher?
  6. April 1st, 2004 I believe.
  7. How fantasy baseball ruins our minds.
  8. I remember in Game 1 of the '04 World Series at Fenway, Marquis was used as a pinch runner for the Cardinals. I wonder why they do that. I've always been confused by this, especially the risks of hurting their arms when sliding or something weird happening on the basepaths.
  9. Oh boy. They better hope this doesn't hurt their recent signing of Lee in the future.
  10. Imagine what Reds fans will be saying 2 years from now...
  11. You do know Nixon isn't playing only because Kazmir's a left and he's on the mound, right?
  12. Welcome to the site
  13. Look, I know I'd be pretty disappointed if I read this anywhere else too, but you just love trying to make things miserable for us, don't you? You ALWAYS have to look at the cynical side of things, and observe the worst case scenario. Ok, done. Anyway, as long as we continue like this without Crisp, I have no complaints. It's scary to think that if this success continues, how will the Sox look when we get back a healthy Crisp? I just think they should have kept Stern.
  14. That wasn't very good English on your part...

  16. Yes, I dropped him immediately.
  17. No problem, I'll edit in a minute.
  18. I'm bored in school. I also seem to have some good mojo. I'll start another. With an impressive history of success against the Devil Rays, Wakefield will start Thursday as the Red Sox look to finish their 10-game homestand with seven wins. The 39-year-old Wakefield (1-2, 4.34 ERA) went 3-0 with a 3.09 ERA in five starts against Tampa Bay last season, improving his lifetime record to 13-1 against the Devil Rays. The 13 wins are tied for his most against any team. Wakefield will try to extend a five-game winning streak overall for Boston, which has won its last eight meetings against Tampa Bay at Fenway Park. Curt Schilling won his fourth straight start with six strong innings and Mike Lowell highlighted a seven-run third with a two-run double in Wednesday's 9-1 triumph. The Devil Rays will seek just their second win in their last 13 games here with 22-year-old ace Scott Kazmir (1-1, 4.82) on the mound. Kazmir has allowed just four runs in his last two starts after being pounded for six runs and eight hits in four innings of a 9-6 Opening Day loss at Baltimore. Ty Wigginton, who has become Tampa Bay's full-time third baseman since Aubrey Huff went on the disabled list last week, leads the club with six home runs in just 49 at-bats. Wigginton's career high in home runs is 12, established as a member of the New York Mets in 2004.
