  1. Haha reading that post made my IQ drop. How could Mussina be a clubhouse cancer? He's mellow and keeps to himself. If anything, I bet he's an outstanding teammate.
  2. Curt Schilling anyone?

  4. Well, Papelbon as a closer is working damn well. They may experiment with Hansen as a starter just to see what happens. If this works, and it's not the plan, then I'm damn happy. I don't care how they use their talent, as long as it gets used is all I care about.

  8. Let's go Sox. Seriously, stop losing to f***ing Toronto. I know they've had our number in the past, and apparently they still do, but we're the better team. It's awesome to see Lowell and recently Pena coming up big for us. Crank up the offense on this abomination of a pitcher. Seriously. After losing each of his five starts in April, Towers will try to give the Toronto Blue Jays a two-game sweep of the Red Sox on Thursday. Towers (0-5, 10.45 ERA) surrendered seven runs and six hits in 2 1/3 innings of a 17-6 loss to the New York Yankees on Saturday, concluding an April in which he gave up 38 hits and 25 runs in 20 2/3 frames. Two of Towers' major league-leading five losses in April came against Boston, which has gone 0-5 against the rest of Toronto's staff this year. Towers has posted a 5.92 ERA in dropping his last four starts vs. Boston, dating to 2004. Russ Adams delivered a ninth-inning RBI double off Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon, who had entered with a scoreless streak of 21 1/3 innings, dating to September, to lift the Blue Jays to a 7-6 triumph Wednesday. Blue Jays closer B.J. Ryan survived a passed ball and throwing error by Gregg Zaun in the bottom of the frame to preserve Toronto's 16th win in 25 games vs. Boston since the beginning of last year. Ryan is riding a 17-inning scoreless streak, dating to September 24, when he allowed two runs in a 4-3 loss to Boston. After half of his four losses in 2005 came against the Red Sox, Ryan has allowed just one hit in 5 1/3 innings vs. Boston this year. With eight losses in their last 12 games overall, the Red Sox will turn to Matt Clement (2-2, 6.14) to salvage a split of the series. Boston has averaged seven runs per game in Clement's first five starts of 2006. With an 8-6 loss here on April 13, Clement fell to 0-3 with a 9.45 ERA in his first five lifetime starts against Toronto. He rebounded to defeat the Blue Jays for the first time 10 days later by allowing three runs - two earned - and seven hits in 5 1/3 innings of a 6-3 win in Toronto. Former Red Sox Shea Hillenbrand belted a two-run homer Wednesday and has hit .457 (21-for-46) with three homers and 11 RBI in his last 13 games. He had hit just .217 in his first 11 games of the season.
  9. Roger Clemens. Real nice guy, carries conversations well, and contrary to popular belief on this board, he does care about people other than himself. Family friends of mine are pretty close with Roger and his family, and he seriously is a great guy. Everytime I hear on this board about him being an arrogant son of a bitch I want to go ripshit because I know it's not true. Roger's a great guy.

  11. Boston will offer something I'm sure, but not anything special like that. Houston is smoking some serious crack.
  12. Zero appreciation? When he tipped his cap the cheers were almost more present than the boos. Be careful what you wish for. Don't say your happy that he just says what's on his mind. That statement will bite you in the ass once you get used to his big mouth. He had one here, and he'll have one in New York.
  13. EDIT: Wait. This was already pointed out. Hahaha my bad.
  14. Yes, his wins, K's, and ERA just through the month of April...
  15. All I can say is that interleague play will be very interesting when they play the Tigers, White Sox, and Guardians.
  16. It's been 1 month. This thread is 2 months premature.

  18. I haven't seen f***tard used in a LONG time. Hahaha I actually just laughed. But yeah, took the words out of my mouth.
  19. Actually, he's one of the few new posters that's been understandable. You seem to jump on people quite easily, and don't have a very good sarcasm detector.
  20. Well, upon further observation of Orlando Cabrera, I realized that he's actually doing a lot better than I thought. I'll try to get something done with you though, I have a few good OFs.
  21. Thanks...for posting this outside the game thread...
  22. I don't think I'm unlocking you. I know regardless of whether I unlock you or not, you are not eligible to win anything. That being said, there's seemingly no point in letting you participate. You almost seriously f***ed up the league once, and should something happen again...well, I'm not taking the chance.
