  1. Yes, definitely. My mistake. Thanks for adding on.
  2. Man, you are a FREAK.
  3. Regardless of the series already played by these two teams, this upcoming one will be a hell of a ride. I think it'll be a close ride all season between the two. Despite getting owned by the Jays, I still don't think they're going to do anything special in the East. They'll fizzle out just like last year's O's. Besides, they're always thorns in our sides, and have been in the past. Sox and Yanks are still the top teams in the East. Now they both have to start acting like them.
  4. I was thinking of the silent treatment. Too bad it won't happen. There will always be one idiot who will ruin it even if it was about to work. Just boo him. Let our hatred for him more apparent. However, the silent treatment would be preferred. Absolute silence during his whole at bat.
  5. Good game for the Yanks. Mussina looked great, Farnsworth looked pretty solid...Mo being Mo. However, we shall see tomorrow night.
  6. Yeah, that's what I was going to say. They're burning the symbol for the very nation that even allows them to burn that symbol in the first place. There are better ways to show your displeasure about America. Burning a flag is not one of those better ways. Without that flag, there is no freedom of speech. Burning the flag is un-American. Period.
  7. Probably going with the 2 TE formations a little more this year. It would be nice to be able to give Dillon a lot of room directly behind the line. One of them is probably for insurance in case the other fails. Also, when you look at the speed Watson has, and his build, it would be interesting to see if they utilize them elsewhere than TE.
  8. Because Dillon can't break tackles anymore.
  9. Welcome to TalkSox.
  10. Welcome to Talksox.
  11. Well, my mojo doesn't look very good right now...
  12. I thought the standings didn't matter this early....
  13. LOL. July 4th, 2005. That gamethread is forever embedded in my brain.
  14. Exactly. Because he knows he can get the money if he just starts, he would be willing to go out there knowing he would most likely lose the game, in return for more money. I think the Sox management knows that unless he's 100%, he's not pitching.
  15. What ever happened to love it or leave it? Seriously...
  16. Welcome.....ayo.
  17. Ah! Those 2! Wade being a former Sox as well, and Foulke a current one. I wouldn't be surprised if it was those 2. Anyone remember soxie's stories about Foulke and Wade last year?
  18. I was actually thinking the same thing.
  19. Hahaha, yes, add that too. He's been getting messed up recently with that 9.15 ERA
  20. Per request, my good mojo was summoned to try to get the Sox back on track. Combine the mojo with Beckett pitching tonight, I like our chances  Therefore, I decided to answer the beckons for my gamethreads. Get that offense crankin' tonight. Go Sox! Game Info: Date: Thursday, April 27th, 2006 First Pitch: 7:05 pm EST TV: NESN / ESPN2 Starting Pitchers: http://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/6403.jpghttp://bellsouthpwp.net/c/h/chinigor/TALKSOX/VS.GIFhttp://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/5468.jpg http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/bos.gif#19 Josh Beckett (3-0, 2.54) http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/cle.gif#36 Paul Byrd (2-2, 9.15) Byrd tries to get on track in rubber game vs. Red Sox Boston (13-8) at Cleveland (11-10) 7:05 pm EDT CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- After a humbling defeat in his previous start, Paul Byrd will attempt to bounce back in time to help the Cleveland Guardians claim Thursday's rubber game of a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox. Byrd (2-2, 9.15 ERA) was tagged for seven runs and six hits in three innings of Saturday's 11-5 loss to Kansas City, which had managed just 32 runs in losing each of its previous 11 games. Signed to a two-contract over the winter, Byrd has allowed at least five runs in three of his first four starts as a member of the Guardians. Last year, he ranked second in the American League with 22 quality starts. The 35-year-old Byrd went 1-1 with a 2.45 ERA in 2005 against the Red Sox, who have dropped four of their last six games on the heels of a four-game winning streak. Wednesday's 7-1 defeat here marked the third straight time Boston managed one run or less in games started by Tim Wakefield. Josh Beckett (3-0, 2.54) will try to remain undefeated in his American League career when he faces Cleveland for the first time. The 2003 World Series Most Valuable Player, Beckett won his first three starts of the season before allowing five runs in 7 1/3 innings of an eventual 12-inning, 7-6 loss to Toronto on Friday. The 25-year-old Beckett has won his last six decisions, dating to last season, postinbg a 2.28 ERA in eight starts over that span. Jhonny Peralta hit a three-run homer in the first inning of Wednesday's 7-1 triumph - Cleveland's second win it its last seven games. Aaron Boone doubled and drove in two runs for the Guardians, who own a .304 team batting average and lead the AL with 127 runs scored this season.
  21. It was 30 years and 2 days ago that Rick Monday, as a visiting Chicago Cub to Dodger Stadium, rescued the American flag from 2 losers who jumped the OF fence and attempted to burn the flag in front of the crowd. Monday went over, and snatched the flag from the men and was given a deserving standing ovation. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?id=2421400 I know I wasn't around at the time, but I feel as though it's necessary to recognize this event.
  22. I find it hard to believe, but I guess I can see this as true. Just wish I knew who the source was, but keeping myself open minded, I can believe that this happened. Thanks ahhchon.
  23. I'll have plenty of free time in school tomorrow, when I obviously won't be doing my work. I'll get on it during my free.
