  1. Wait, wait, wait. Think about what you're saying. You're telling us to have more faith in Jason Johnson, Kyle Snyder, and Gabbard, than Schilling, Beckett, or Lester.
  2. Just win, please. Yanks have Wright going. Hopefully the Orioles can get something going and give us a chance to pull even with the Yanks. WIN.
  3. The NY Post? You think they'll shed any light as to why Ortiz deserves it? Do you believe the DH plays a big part? Or no, but you just think so with the voters? It's the AL MVP. The DH is a position on an AL team. Case closed.
  4. Because the only reason we're in 2nd place is because this team has been playing like absolute s*** since the all star break. They played like s*** with Varitek catching, they played like s*** with Mirabelli catching, and I know it's only been 2 days, but Lopez has done nothing to help. Maybe it's anger, I know he hasn't played much, but it's starting to get to me. Especially last night's GIDP.
  5. I guess the mojo can't overcome the stupid moves made by our GM. We all know the mojo has complete control over the team
  6. Everytime we lose a game in the 4th and 5th starter spots, there is NO ONE to blame but Theo. Thanks for that starter Theo!
  7. I was about to do that for you, unfortunately. This sucks
  8. That was...not exciting. Now the Yanks, Red Sox, White Sox and Twins are going to win out and we'll look back on this game and kill ourselves because we couldn't take advantage and get the game back that we needed. And we will miss the playoffs. I love you all.
  9. Well, Papi's guaranteed to come up next inning!
  10. Something like 2 IP, 1 hit, 2 Ks, 0 R.
  11. On a side note, the heckler's back.
  12. Wait, so if he doesn't have the arm strength for SS, why the hell are they even considering him at 3B?
  13. Moron.
  14. Well, the "schillingouttheks" mojo train continues, and starting today it will be accompanied by some "One Red Seat" mojo as well. David Wells will be looking to get back on track tonight after a rough last outing against not the Cleveland Guardians, but Casey Blake himself. There's no reason that the Sox shouldn't be able to sweep this series, and go onto KC to sweep the next. Go Sox! 15. Well, it was before the trade deadline happened, but a lot would have to go right for this waivers theory to be correct. I mean, what if we get stuck with someone that we were supposed to spin off? Maybe I don't fully understand, but what if we got Jones, wanted to spin him off "through waivers" for Oswalt, but Oswalt was claimed so we're stuck with Jones? I wouldn't mind being stuck with him, I'm just saying isn't it possible to be stuck with him even if we had other plans for him?
  16. You guys will never lose again.
  17. Haha yeah, no problem.
  18. If you're saying that I crucified you for it, you're wrong. I don't recall ever posting anything that denied a Nixon power outage. If you can find a post of mine that did say it, I'll eat crow, but as far as I know I made no such claim.
  19. Basketball isn't America's pastime. For some reason baseball isn't boring. Hell, you're on a baseball message board.
  20. No. Baseball and football are higher than basketball. Even the Bruins are better to watch. I know too many people that get bored easily by basketball. Baseball is, well, baseball, and then football and hockey are contact sports. That's what people like. Basketball is putting a ball in a net.
  21. I'm not sold either, but I'm not willing to sell him out yet. I thought you were bashing Cora because you capitalized all the letters of his name, which I thought meant that you were placing emphasis on the weak bats that Wells faced in his session. My mistake, I guess.
  22. He was beat by Casey Blake (who happened to be on an absolute tear at Fenway) on long balls, and it was his first REAL start. It was a terrible outcome, but IMO it looked much worse than it was. Cora's the man by the way. He's a very versatile and solid baseball player.
