  1. Ayo.
  2. I think RedSoxRooter needs to make tomorrow's gamethread.
  3. This series is already a failure. If they lose one more to KC it's a season killer.
  4. Thanks. The point is to win. If you're happy settling for second place there's something wrong. I'm not saying I wasn't happy in 2004, I was happy they made the playoffs, but I was pissed that we didn't win the division. Second place is nothing but the first loser.
  5. There is no chance in hell this team will get by the Tigers in the first round with our pitching staff if we win the wild card. It's different to face a team in the ALCS because of the momentum of moving on in the postseason. The Sox have a better chance of playing someone from the west at this point than the Tigers. Beat a team from the west, then play the Tigers or whoever wins the WC in the ALCS. Besides, I'm not settling for the wild card. The point is to win the divison, and that's what I want to see more than anything. In my mind, if they can't surpass the Yanks and win the division, they have no place in the playoffs.
  6. Pft, Bears. Easily the most enjoyable game. Not a lot of scoring, just some damn good defense. Plus it will be starting to get cold, which is always a good thing at a football game. Maybe I'm slightly biased here because I've seen the Jets so many f***ing times and it's gotten to annoy me and I wanna see some other team. :dunno:
  7. He's running out of gas. It's crystal clear. You know you're in some deep s*** when you're number 3 starter has nothing left in the tank, and he's a rookie with the struggles that he's having lately. Again, THANKS FOR THE STARTER THEO!
  8. Good. We need the division. I don't give 2 shits about the wild card. If we win it, great, but I want the damn division.
  9. I used to enjoy the anticipation of a Sox game at night. Now it's like I'm anticipating surgery.
  10. You gotta be careful. It's going to run out on you at about 2%. It's because it needs power to shut off, so it uses the 2% to do that.
  11. I've made my decision. I'm rooting for the White Sox. I'm going balls to the wall for the division and if we can't win it because the wild card was too far out of reach, then we didn't deserve it.
  12. This team just... I don't even know. It's so pathetic. I bet the PawSox could beat this team.
  13. I don't know who I want to win this game now
  14. That works for me. It's like an unintentional intentional walk but using more pitches
  15. He's going to be IBB'd. Manny will hit the 3 run dinger
  16. No. It's a win-lose. We get the win, which is good. Good for the confidence. I'd go nuts on a walkoff win, but I wouldn't be expecting a good display from the team tomorrow.
  17. Coco with a leadoff walk. If Cora gets on.... :ortiz:
  18. I meant out of the team's play. They played like absolute s***. I don't see anything satisfying in a win tonight. I'll be happy with a win, but if they continue to win like tonight, it's nothing special at all. In fact, it's like we're stealing wins. The Guardians were a Bob Wickman away from sweeping us in 4 games.
  19. That's a negative. If it was a good team that we came back against, I see the positive. This is the Kansas City Royals we need a comeback with.
  20. What positives come out of this game, even if we win? Maybe we'll gain ground, but what positives can you take away from this team's display this evening?
  21. Well, I should edit my post but I'll just say it here. Anyone would be better than Tavarez right now. If the whole bullpen is sucking, use the least sucking-est pitcher. It doesn't get worse than Tavarez.
  22. Timlin would be better than Tavarez. Sure, he's been struggling, but at least he can do well. Tavarez is a s*** show waiting to happen. I've always wondered why Tito does this. We still have a chance to win and he brings in a mop up reliever. It's so disheartening.
