  1. ... Karstens breaking his leg is why the Red Sox lost on Saturday. If he stays in the Red Sox compile 5 runs in the first inning and face Igawa once they have the lead.
  2. I'm glad I'm not the first person that pointed this out. It's kind of odd.
  3. ...and if the Pats DON'T win the Superbowl next year, I'll personally give all of you that said "give us our rings now" a ton of s***.
  4. It seems like everything gets vetoed in this league. Or is it just me?
  5. Wait, I'm confused. Someone said fell through, and someone said went through. Which is it?!?!
  6. So....that Moss deal fell through then, didn't it? DAMN. EDIT: Nevermind, not confused anymore.
  7. Lugo's shot back at Karstens was the play of the game. That single-handedly won the Yanks the game yesterday. Wake gave up 3 runs in a quality start and we couldn't touch Igawa. Damn.
  8. Because that would mean that the Sox won through the weekend...thus sweeping the Yankees. He's a Yanks fan if you haven't noticed yet. Ryan already got the tongue-lashing. I'll keep mine in I think the mojo gods will realize the confusion. GO SOX.
  9. Pahahahahaa. I love it. Keep rollin, motherf***ers.
  10. I think your pitchers would be too afraid to do that. David Ortiz would eat one of them. Besides, if you're going to hit him, don't advocate hitting him in the head, please.
  11. If WMP doesn't pick up his slack soon, I'll start getting angry with him. I will give you this, though: He hasn't done anything to help the Red Sox this year. The only thing that his homerun in Toronto did was light a fire under Coco's ass...I think he felt WMP breathing down his neck. Ever since, Coco's been hot hot hot. It's too bad he went down with an injury. I can't wait to have him back. I'm not blind to the fact that WMP has done pretty much nothing, but I guess I'm just a bit more patient than most people. I still think he has the opportunity to be a solid hitter with tremendous power, but if he doesn't start showing the slightest bit of improvement I'll start ranting about him. Fair enough? And no, I don't think Baltimore nor Tampa Bay are for real. Tampa's lineup is real nice (that's what teams should be afraid of), but their pitching is their downfall. They won't stick around too long. Baltimore's alright...I don't think they'll be worse than last year, but I just can't see them staying this hot throughout the season. I mean, they did get swept by Minnesota to start the year, and they've lost both games to Oakland (both teams have really nice pitching). Sure, they took 2/3 from the Yanks, but they were starting to hurt around that time as well. They feasted on KC, which is more than we can say, but this hot streak won't last long. Toronto's lineup is real, real good when at full strength and their pitching isn't bad, but they didn't upgrade as well as the Sox did this off season. And now, with BJ Ryan gone for what appears to be a long long time (just went on the 60 day DL yesterday), they're relying heavily on Frasor to get the job done. I think Toronto will be lingering around, but they won't make any real impact when all is said and done. They are some damn Red Sox killers, though
  12. Oh and by the way, anyone up for a little "schillingouttheks" mojo tomorrow?
  13. It'll be nice to steam-roll through Baltimore and take the momentum into the Bronx. The Yankees are really, really hurting right now.
  14. I'd be lying if I said I didn't get a tad irritated with him tonight. I still have to watch him play more, though. Fred: You said something about WMP being as good as Ortiz...I have never said that. I don't think it's possible for him to be as good as a hitter as Ortiz is, but he can definitely get better. Someone like WMP with all that raw power doesn't come around very often. The ONLY way to see him start to improve is to let him get his playing time and stomach some of his disasters. The good thing about tonight is that it didn't cost us the game. Halladay was auto-freakin-matic after his slow start, and we had no chance. I understand your impatience with him, he doesn't look very good right now, but at least just give the guy some time. He'll continue to work with the hitting coaches, and as he gets more and more at bats he'll have better command of the strike zone. These things are processes, they don't happen overnight, over a week, nor over a month. It'll suck to watch him suck it up out there, but patience is a virtue. If he doesn't show any signs of improvement after a substantial amount of playing time and he's still wailing at terrible pitches, then I'll start to back off. But for now, we all need to be a little bit patient.
  15. Knock 'em out, Tavarez! http://www.gungfu.com/pics_general/pics_gloves/gloves_everlast_youth_boxing_gloves_a83033.jpg
  16. Getting swept in a 2 game series isn't much to be upset about... I would love to win this f***ing game though. Let's go into Baltimore with a W behind us and sweep that series. We need another hot streak going into New York.
  17. I know, really...he just cries.
  18. I think Golden State can legitimately beat Dallas. 4-0 against them this year? Baron Davis and Jason Richardson on an 8th seeded team??? They're dangerous.
  19. Will you stop calling them the Wankees? It's so damn annoying.
  20. The same one that you keep beating everytime you come to this site? And for the record, I didn't get the opportunity to go to the game, adam. Not everyone can go. But, I was watching on my family room couch in HD. I saw him pretty clearly as well.
  21. You are never allowed to ever root for him. You are not allowed to cheer if he hits a home run or when he does something productive. Capisce?
