  1. Just when you thought the Matsuzaka hype would die down a bit...he gets to face Ichiro to start the game tonight, again. Let's see how he does this time out against the Mariners now that he's not going against that young stud King Felix Hernandez. And oh, Tito, please rest Jima tonight. He's pitched far too much. Horacio Ramirez has never faced the Red Sox...let's give him a rude awakening GO SOX! Game Info: Date: Thursday, May 3rd, 2007 Teams: Seattle Mariners (12-10) @ Boston Red Sox (17-9) First Pitch: 7:05pm EDT Venue: Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts TV: NESN Starting Pitchers: http://pics.forecaster.ca/mlb-player/2563.gifhttp://bellsouthpwp.net/c/h/chinigor/TALKSOX/VS.GIFhttp://pics.forecaster.ca/mlb-player/6423.gif http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/sea.gif#26 Horacio Ramirez (2-1, 4.41) http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/bos.gif#18 Daisuke Matsuzaka (3-2, 4.36) Mojo of the day: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v204/mattedgah/Untitled01done.jpg HOW 'BOUT SOME MORE STICK A FORK IN 'EM MOJO! ORS, let's continue our dynamic duo with some more mojestical mojo.
  2. And some more... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. This has gotten so old but it still amuses me
  3. I went to the game last year where Beckett pitched against Oakland and he got absolutely lit up. Hopefully he remembers that night very clearly and goes out there and absolutely dominates their weak offense.
  4. Drew had a nasty stomach bug last night. Sounds like he's okay now though.
  5. Sorry for the early start, but I wanted to get my mojo in here before someone else jumped in... So yeah, last night sucked but it happens. Papelbon's pissed...the Sox are pissed...let's win again. Just win, you bunch of whores. GO SOX! Game Info: Date: Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007 Teams: Oakland Athletics (13-13) @ Boston Red Sox (16-9) First Pitch: 7:05pm EDT Venue: Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts TV: NESN Starting Pitchers: http://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/7199.jpghttp://bellsouthpwp.net/c/h/chinigor/TALKSOX/VS.GIFhttp://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/6403.jpg http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/oak.gif#57 Chad Gaudin (1-1, 2.54) http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/bos.gif#19 Josh Beckett (5-0, 2.48) Mojo of the day: http://www.moonbattery.com/archives/hillary_forked.jpg STICK A FORK IN 'EM MOJO! By the way, I'm not making a political statement here or anything, I just thought the picture was hilarious. GO SOX! ORS, our fabulous duo of combined mojo power will lift the Sox today. Make sure you find something interesting.
  6. Who knows. Whatevs though. I haven't gotten my mojo going in awhile...maybe now's the time? By the way, are we facing Santana at all over the weekend? EDIT: f***. Saturday.
  7. My B. Oh well, he's still doing whatever he can to get Moss here. Fine by me.
  8. I know. I finished the post without that last phrase and then I was like "oh s***, I should add this." And so I added it. But the bottom line is, for THIS YEAR, I'd rather have Papelbon than Rivera.
  9. Brady doing whatever he can to get this team another Superbowl  He clearly doesn't care as much about making the most amount of money possible as he does winning. He's a true winner and does whatever his team needs him to do. 'Atta boy, Tom. It's also good that he's made friends with Randy. I still can't believe the name RANDY MOSS is directly connected to the New England Patriots organization now. I'm just not used to seeing such superstar names within the organization. Brady's an exception, but a name like Randy Moss that's been around for awhile...really gives me the goosebumps. f***ing awesome.
  10. Not only is Myers not getting lefties out, he gives up the no-hitters to them also.
  11. It's kind of weird that of all teams, the weak-hitting A's make Mo and Paps blow saves. Although, it's not impossible to get to Mo anymore...at least for right now.
  12. The good thing to take away from this game is how perfectly we set it up for Paps. 2 run lead going into the 8th inning coming off of 7 strong from Schilling. Jima pitches a 1-2-3 inning (again!) and Paps comes in for the 9th. He does what every closer does at some points and blows the game. We for sure won't see that nearly as much as we see him blow batters away, so I'm not concerned. A win is always better, but at the end of today things are still fine. It's May 1st. No need to s*** pants over our lead in the standings quite yet (though we really do need to bury the Yankees as much as possible right now).
  13. Who broke it up?
  14. It's chill. It sucks to lose like that, but Papelbon will blow some and we'll have some tough losses...this being one of them. At the end of the day the Sox are still in first (I know it's May...) and we'll come back with Beckett tomorrow. Papelbon will be more intense than ever next time out, bank it. :papelbon:
  15. Rich Hill works out at my school's weightroom over the winter with Zak Farkes, who is currently in the Red Sox minor league organization (my school is in Cambridge). He's from Boston and works with my school's coaches when he comes here. I do strength and conditioning over the winter so I saw him a lot. It was really cool.
  16. Oh, didn't think about that... d'oh.
  17. And here's the miracle "once in a blue moon" mojo... http://www.photogalaxy.com/pic/marbo-48/blue_moon.jpg
  18. Blanton looks like a whale... http://www.ngo.grida.no/wwfap/whalewatching/img/threats_whaling.jpg LET'S GO WHALING! Oh also, it's May 1st...
  19. How do I tell what my rating is? I hover my mouse over the green thingy underneath my avatar but it says 0 to 10 points. I don't get it :dunno:
  20. Yeah... Except for the fact that he's 6'4" and just ran a 4.29 a week or two ago...
