    OK, next question from someone who isn't watching the game. So there's a brawl early in the game, punches are thrown, etc., etc. Later Lester hits both Crawford and Iwamura but doesn't get the heave-ho. Was there no warning from the umps after the brawl? Did Lester have a couple "get out of ejection free" cards?

    Even the guy on first base is in scoring position when legendary masher Kevin Cash is up! Seriously, though, is this guy exceeding expectations or is he exceeding expectations?

    I wish he had. Part of me still hates Pedro a little for not doing that, but as someone else said, ultimately it's Grady's call. I think Timlin had given up one single in the postseason to that point. And not in 0.2 IP either -- he was so lights out at that point that they should have called him The Generator. As in, "When they break out The Generator, you know the lights must be out." Or perhaps an even cooler nickname could be found. Williamson was doing pretty well himself. Timlin + Williamson + 3 run lead = as close to a sure thing as exists in baseball. Just for the record, count me as another person who distinctly remembers nearly having an excretory anomaly when Pedro came out for the 8th.

    Lugo draws another walk. Again, why wouldn't you just throw Lugo fastballs down the gut? The worst that could happen is that he could beat out a chopper to SS. That's the absolute most that Lugo is going to do with a ball this year. EDIT: Badly phrased. I don't mean that Lugo will not hit the ball out of the infield ever again this year. I mean that this year's Lugo is unlikely to do much more with the bell.
