    I dunno. I'm "watching" the game on GameCast, and it's showing all of those pitches right down the gut. Strike 3 to Lowell couldn't have been closer to the center of the zone if you used a protractor and compass. Strikes 2 and 3 to Drew showed as well within the zone. Now you're all saying that the umpire was calling anything and everything a strike. So what's going on here?

    I predict that Masterson will help the bullpen . Enters the game with one out and two on, retires 5 straight. That's, um, not exactly what we've gotten from the pen most of this year.

    Well, strange game, anyway. It was up in the air as late as mid-6th. Then we scored 12 runs. I do like that part.

    I'm going out on a limb and saying that we win this one. Every Sox starter has a hit (at least two, in fact, other than Moss), and each has at least a run. Nasty. Is Dave McCarty available to pitch the 9th?

    Hey, he's doing some strategic padding of a shaky lead! Providing an insurance run in a crucial game! Or something... And Moss triples. Safe to say that the offense is currently firing on all cylinders. Or that Bass sucks. Maybe both.

    OK, next question from someone who isn't watching the game. So there's a brawl early in the game, punches are thrown, etc., etc. Later Lester hits both Crawford and Iwamura but doesn't get the heave-ho. Was there no warning from the umps after the brawl? Did Lester have a couple "get out of ejection free" cards?
