  1. Those are good seats, right along the firstbase line. I'd take those.
  2. Can we use photoshop?
  3. Damon and Wells both said they were having trouble with the lights when they went to catch a ball. I don't get why they just don't have a black background.
  4. Judging by his spring, that wouldn't be much better.
  5. I don't think today's bullpen showing was as bad as it seems. Blaine Neal will be gone on Wednesday when Schill comes back so that doesn't really even matter. Halama was not as bad as it seemed also. He walked Koskie in a 10 pitch at bat, in which Koskie really fought to stay alive. He then gave up an infield hit to Hillenbrand. Hitting Hinske with the bases loaded was really the only thing that I blame him for today. I think all bullpens tend to struggle early in the season. I think it takes them longer to get into the feel of the game, because they have to get used to coming in unexpectedly. I think our bullpen will be fine in a couple of weeks. I wonder why Timlin or Embree weren't in the game in the 8th they are our best relievers and they should of been able to pitch 1 inning to keep us within 1.
  6. Blue Jays end up winning 12-5.
  7. Jays break it open in the 8th. 12-5 capped off by a Gregg Zaun grand slam.
  8. I would have too, especially after a double, not many pitchers start to get into grooves in the 7th. It could have fallen apart very quickly for him and Mills wanted to stop that before it happened.
  9. 3 run homer by Big Papi, 5-4 Jays.
  10. Wells, Koskie and old pal Hillenbrand hit back to back to back homers off Wells. 5-1 Jays.
  11. Lineups Red Sox Bellhorn 2B Nixon RF Ramirez LF Ortiz DH Millar 1B Varitek C Payton CF Mueller 3B Vazquez SS Blue Jays Johnson LF Hudson 2B Wells CF Koskie 3B Hillenbrand DH Hinske 1B Rios RF Zaun C McDonald SS No Renteria today, so we'll see Ramon Vazquez for the first time. Johnny is out today with that cut elbow from yesterday. They fixed the scoreboard by the way, they made sure that no more screws was sticking out.
  12. Lester pitched fairly well in his 2005 debut for the Sea Dogs yesterday. 4 IP 5 H 3 ER 1 BB 7 K.
  13. I think Bill Buckner lived here when he played for the Sox as well.
  14. Patrice Bergeron (with Lapointe) and Sandy McCarthy.
  15. 1:00 start. Good pitching matchup today. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/124071.jpg #3 David Wells (0-1 8.31) vs. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/136880.jpg #32 Roy Halladay (1-0 2.57)
  16. Johnny was hurt tonight running into that ugly new video scoreboard. He needed 6 stitches for a cut on his right arm, he may not play tomorrow.
  17. He'll be fine, all closers are having a rough patch in the MLB right now and I don't really think it's a coincidence. I think once they get settled in, they'll all get back to form.
  18. Final Score 6-5 Sox. Foulke looked a little shaky at the end but ultimately got the save. Yankees down big 11-4, so we'll tie them in the standings.
  19. Lineups Red Sox Damon CF Nixon RF Ramirez LF Ortiz DH Millar 1B Renteria SS Varitek C Mueller 3B Bellhorn 2B Blue Jays Catalonotto LF Hudson 2B Wells CF Koskie 3B Hillenbrand DH Hinske 1B Zaun C Gross RF Adams SS
  20. I read in the paper that since the Dodgers have an off day on Monday, D-Lowe will be at the ceremony to get his ring.
  21. Pitching matchup for tonight will be: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/276520.jpg #61 Bronson Arroyo (0-0 0.00) vs. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/433657.jpg #49 David Bush (0-0 0.00)
  22. That is truly freaky if that's true.
  23. As of right now it is, he's scheduled to pitch tomorrow for Pawtucket. MLB.com said it would be showing the game for free and it may be on NESN since there is no Sox game. I believe it's at 2:00.
  24. They better hope they don't draw the Nuggets in the 1st round, them and the Bulls are the 2 teams that no one wants to face come playoff time.
