I don't think today's bullpen showing was as bad as it seems. Blaine Neal will be gone on Wednesday when Schill comes back so that doesn't really even matter. Halama was not as bad as it seemed also. He walked Koskie in a 10 pitch at bat, in which Koskie really fought to stay alive. He then gave up an infield hit to Hillenbrand. Hitting Hinske with the bases loaded was really the only thing that I blame him for today.
I think all bullpens tend to struggle early in the season. I think it takes them longer to get into the feel of the game, because they have to get used to coming in unexpectedly. I think our bullpen will be fine in a couple of weeks.
I wonder why Timlin or Embree weren't in the game in the 8th they are our best relievers and they should of been able to pitch 1 inning to keep us within 1.
