I didn't think the Cameron signing was that bad, he'll obviously be an improvement in the outfield. An outfield of Braun, Cameron and Hart with Hall moving back to the infield should be enough to compete with the Cubs in the Central. Also it's only for one year and they don't have to pay him while he's suspended so I think the Brew Crew turned out ok there. Same thing with Kendall only a 1 year deal and he is known to work well with his pitching staff, he'll bat 8th in the NL so he won't be expected to do too much.

I was very impressed with the Blue Jays infield defense with McDonald and Hill last year. This would only make it even better. I say good deal for the Jays.

A's trade Nick Swisher to White Sox for 3 minor leaguers. I would think that Swisher would play center field for them and they'd put Quentin in left but this eliminates the most likely of destinations for Coco (besides Minnesota). Though Oakland could get into the discussions as they seem to be high on Coco.

Spurs are the best team in the NBA, to have the best record in the West while playing without members of their own "big 3" says a lot about their team. Plus they have proven they know how to get it done when it counts.

I've watched plenty of NBA games and I know those can be boring as well. The problem with the NHL is that there are too many teams and not enough stars. Cut down on about 8-10 teams put the sport back in Canada where it belongs and we'll be ok. The problem is not the games itself but that some of these teams (cough Bruins) are hard to follow for the casual fan because they don't recognize the players. The NBA doesn't have this problem because of all the hype people get in college and the fact that there are not as many players on a team so it is easier to get familiar with each individual player.

It's not their fault that they don't choose to appear on 3 ESPN commercials and pose for all these magazine covers so that they can get all this publicity. People don't follow hockey because ESPN elects to ignore like it's the ugly stepsister. If ESPN devoted some of it's airtime on SC and choose to promote that sport instead of say um the WNBA then it would get some press that it deserves. What the Bruins are doing with their best player concussed and with the lineup they put out there every night is nothing short of amazing and they deserve to be recognized because I did not expect them to qualify for the playoffs at all.

Just because you don't follow them doesn't make them irrelevant.

Oh yeah if they come out of those games undefeated they will totally be legit. But I look at the top 10 and I see maybe 1 team that BC can beat (S. Florida) and they at least have a legit win (W. Virginia). BC does not deserve to be ranked that high when their quality win (Georgia Tech) already has 3 losses this year.
