  1. Awesome. On second thought, what would have mattered if Rivera blew the game? Does anyone actually see an NL team giving the Red Sox a series?
  2. I hope Rivera saves it: A) 4 games at home are better than 3. B ) The Red Sox suck on the road. C) You hate the Yankees more than the Red Sox.
  3. This is an example of hypersensitive Red Sox fans.
  4. Yeah, because the Red Sox are really loving that .299 OBP.
  5. His K/9 rates are down this year, but they were insanely good in '06 and '07.
  6. Meanwhile, the Yankee faithful are puzzled on how they should react to this.
  7. Holy f***ing s***. What a f***ing idiot. Does anyone actually think you wrote that? Your constant rant on how s*** the Red Sox offense plays, is pretty well noted.
  8. Quite the scholar we have here.
  9. That was low, but we haven't had any of those go our way.
  10. I agree. I like your idea, but would bat Varitek 9th.
  11. I'd replace Lowrie with Lugo, because he's not going to be back when Ortiz is back. I also expect Ellsbury to continue to bat at the top of the lineup. Not that it's the correct choice. To add, the rotation features four pitchers with ERA's under 4.00, and the combo of Masterson, Colon, Pauley, and Buchholz has added a 4.01 ERA. Masterson is going to be a big arm out of the pen, and Colon can help as well. That's not even mentioning the fact that the Red Sox can go add another arm with that deep farm system at their disposal. This is shaping up to be a good second half.
  12. Markakis is a damn good player.
  13. This team has scored 60 runs in eleven games in July, and David Ortiz is just around the corner.
  14. C: Mike Piazza 1B: Albert Pujols 2B: Roberto Alomar SS: Alex Rodriguez 3B: Chipper Jones LF: Barry Bonds CF: Ken Griffey Jr. RF: Manny Ramirez DH: Frank Thomas SP: Pedro Martinez SP: Roger Clemens RP: Mariano Rivera RP: Billy Wagner
  15. Add Ortiz to this lineup, and I don't dread the 7-8-9 in our batting order.
  16. I told him he was a dumass and I asked him why he got banned. m TaC 288 (5:03:31 PM): yeszir told me to kill myself m TaC 288 (5:03:31 PM): lol m TaC 288 (5:03:40 PM): so i told him to kill him self xtiMx7645 (5:04:07 PM): u r such a dumass yeszir is so much a better guy than you m TaC 288 (5:04:12 PM): lol xtiMx7645 (5:04:13 PM): ur a dumass yankee fan m TaC 288 (5:04:20 PM): met fan xtiMx7645 (5:04:28 PM): same thing they both suck m TaC 288 (5:04:30 PM): lol xtiMx7645 (5:04:31 PM): burn in hell bitch m TaC 288 (5:04:30 PM): lol xtiMx7645 (5:04:42 PM): im not laughin dumass
  17. JD Drew was absolved of any blame for his poor performance in 2007, when he did this in the postseason. http://images.overthemonster.com/images/admin/JDDrewGrandSlam.jpg http://graphics.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2007/10/20/1192929300_2727.jpg http://www.beloblog.com/ProJo_Blogs/SoxBlog/archives/grand_slam_405.jpg Jesus, when Tony LaRussa says you're not tough, clutch, and gritty people really f***ing hate you for some reason.
  18. What did you think about Charlie Zink?
  19. Cal Ripken Jr. was a first ballot HOF, who will be remembered as a baseball icon. People who don't even watch the sport know who Cal Ripken is. He has endorsement deals, even though he's been retired for years. Jason Varitek? Casual fans know who he is, but he is no icon. Other than the fact that they have played baseball, those two really don't warrant any type of comparison.
