1. He's not being asked to.
2. With Varitek and Lugo on deck, Youkilis needs to hit a homerun.
3. Hansen wriggles out of a jam. Delcarmen in the 8th?
4. Francona is a great manager.
5. I think we're giving 'Tek too much credit, especially with the way he's hiiting, but I agree. What the f*** is Youkilis running to third for?
6. Varitek's OPS has slipped below .700.
7. Wow. Tie game. Nice to see Ellsbury hit the ball.
8. Lester was due for one of those.
9. Really, how? He's a great teammate, right? Wait, I guess only when he's getting what he wants. If he doesn't like it, he can get the f*** out. Go see if someone else wants to pay him $10 million to OPS .700.
10. Plus, Jason Johnson, Matt Clement, Kyle Snyder, and Wade Miller all owe 'Tek, at the minimum, 3 runs of their ERA. Pedro said it, it must be true.
11. Because getting a useless save to pad your stats, is more important than preparing yourself for the chance that you might pitch tomorrow.
12. Youkilis is f***ing awesome.
13. [example1]But lower charisma[/example1]
14. Kottaras went 3/4 with his fifteenth homerun. Batting average is up to .237.
15. I like what Jason Whitlock said about the whole thing. "Adam Jones has done more harm to black people than Don Imus has."
16. Wow. That was f***ing smoked.
17. He's probably going to the A's. They're going to offer him $4.5 million, the Red Sox shouldn't give that much to a 16 year old.
18. Giving Miguel Tejada $12 million dollars prevents the Red Sox from spending that $12 million dollars elsewhere. Lowrie can match Tejada's production, and easily surpass his .327 OBP. Tejada is 34, his bat is declining, and he's getting worse in the field. Pass.
19. Yeah, but he's been pretty unlucky this year. Season Team BB% K% BB/K OBP SLG OPS ISO BABIP RC RC/27 2006 Padres (AA) 16.3 % 26.5 % 0.74 .394 .451 .845 .175 .348 45 6.55 2006 Padres (AAA) 9.2 % 25.2 % 0.40 .282 .361 .644 .151 .264 12 3.49 2007 Red Sox (AAA) 9.8 % 24.1 % 0.45 .316 .408 .724 .167 .290 38 4.55 2008 Red Sox (AAA) 16.0 % 28.2 % 0.68 .352 .440 .792 .212 .258 37 5.41 I think his batting average will settle around .250 to .260 area.
20. Does anyone remember why the Giants released A.J Pierzynski? He was considered a horrible defensive catcher, who didn't study game film, and help his pitchers prepare. I guess I'm curious how the f*** the White Sox finished first in ERA with that horrible influence behind the plate in 2005.
21. I don't think he even knows what he's saying anymore.
22. Other than Yankee fans, who cares where they play AAA ball?
